Position Summary:

• Orthopedists' responsibilities include being able to admit, work-up, and treat either surgical or medical patients presenting with illness or injuries of the musculoskeletal systems.

• Orthopedists are responsible for providing the patient with risks, benefits and alternative treatments and securing the informed consent of the patient/family needed before conducting invasive procedures.

• Evaluates the patient to assess any changes in the physical status, lab values and vital signs of the patient prior to surgery. Appropriate notes are written in the patient's medical records, times, dates, and signed.

• Provides inpatient and outpatient consultations and pre-operative patient and Operating Room evaluations.

• Work effectively with patients, families, co-workers, and other health care professionals treating them with respect and dignity.

• The Orthopedists provide patient care which is appropriate to the cognitive, emotional, and chronological maturation needs of the adult and/or geriatric patient. The surgeon must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served within the Surgical Service. The Orthopedists must demonstrate the knowledge of the changes associated with aging and possess the ability to provide care based upon age-related factors as specified on the competence assessment checklist.

• Orthopedists perform minor and major surgical procedures. They are expected to use the best available procedures and perform them at or above national statistical levels.

• He/she is responsible for regular postoperative follow-up, patient teaching and wound care upon discharge orders in the chart in a timely manner.

• Participation in Quality Management activities including but not limited to monthly Mortality and Morbidity Surgical Staff Meetings.
• Participates in various hospital committees, department and hospital in-service programs and acquire CME's as required.

• Responsible for the clinical support staff to ensure quality of care is provided, oversight of clinical and operating access/utilization regarding Orthopedics.

• Expected to participate in appropriate continuing education activities as necessary and to ensure other clinical staff participates in continuing education to maintain licensure and acceptable level of technical skill.

• Familiar with and adheres to the Medical Staff Bylaws of this facility.

• Expected to be cooperative in manner with other members of the medical/dental staff to achieve the goal or providing necessary care.

• Chief of Orthopedics will chair a monthly or more frequent meetings attended by the member of the Orthopedics Team. The attendance is mandatory for all members.

• The Chief of Orthopedics will report all incidences of care relating to Orthopedics that he/she believes did not meet acceptable standards to the Chief of Surgery. At a minimum, these incidents will be discussed in the Surgical M&M Staff Meeting.

ROLE SUMMARY:  

Although rare, Multiple Myeloma is the second most common hematologic malignancy worldwide, with a 5 year survival rate of 54% and high rate of relapse on therapies currently considered Standard of Care. The current Multiple Myeloma marketplace has an estimated value of ~ $32B in most major markets by ‘2024. B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) is a novel target that is highly active in MM, with multiple recently approved medications across different modalities. This role provides a unique opportunity to join Pfizer’s Elrexfio team as we bring this breakthrough to patients. 

Elrexfio (elranatamab) is approved across 6 global markets including in the US and EU, for Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myeloma in the Triple Class Exposed setting. Additional approvals and launches in this indication are expected throughout 2024, and there are 4 Phase 3 trials of Elrexfio currently enrolling, which investigate use earlier in MM treatment.

The Global Marketing Director, Elrexfio will report to the Global Marketing Lead, Elrexfio, and will be responsible for leading HCP marketing and brand strategy to maximize the brand opportunity across the lifecycle. Key areas of responsibility will include driving HCP strategies and execution to differentiate Elrexfio currently and in future indications within an increasingly crowded and dynamic MM market, optimizing the omnichannel mix, overseeing CI and competitive insights, and supporting regional and local pull through.   

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:  

With minimal supervision responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

Lead and manage the brand value proposition

• This global leadership role is responsible for several elements of continuous improvement in business and helicopter aviation which impact the Customer training experience.

ROLE SUMMARY

• The clinician medical monitor may contribute towards providing medical and scientific expertise and oversight for Clinical Trials.

• The clinician medical monitor may be required to design a development strategy for multiple protocols designed to obtain worldwide approval for a compound or group of compounds.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable for safety across the study:

• Provide study team with medical advice for all medical issues during risk assessment and mitigation planning to enable quality, compliance and patient safety at the trial, site and patient level.
• Ensures development of and adherence to the Safety Surveillance Review Plan (SSRP). Consistent with the SSRP, performs and documents regular review of individual subject safety data, and performs review of cumulative safety data with the safety risk lead. As appropriate, the clinician medical monitor may delegate these responsibilities to the study clinician scientist identified in the SSRP. The specific components of safety data review are detailed in the appropriate SOPs and the “Safety Data Review Guide – for Clinicians.”
• Monitor study safety issues and provide input to serious adverse events (SAEs) reports. Provides appropriate medical context in terms of risk factors, medical history and other important medical factors required to put the SAE or AE into appropriate medical context.
• Participates in the Safety Review Team to evaluate medical benefits/risks to support targeted clinical indications.
• Reviews literature as needed to respond to safety questions or those posed by the Safety Review Team, Data Monitoring Committee (DMC) or other individuals or bodies involved with the study.
• Communicates safety information to sites across the study and provides responses to questions on safety.

Protocol design and strategy:

• Contributes towards the medical input during protocol development and updates to the clinical development plan.
• Work closely with other medical monitors to ensure that documents (protocol, Informed Consent Document [ICD], etc.) meet regulatory requirements and company policy and has been reviewed by IRB/IECs.
• Provides medical input into country feasibility.

Support study team

• With supervision of medical monitor (director/Sr director) provides clinical input to protocol/study team for monitoring guidelines, statistics analysis plans, ICDs, clinical review forms, data edit checks, data quality planning, as needed
• Contributes to contract research organization / vendor selection to ensure study is conducted consistent with protocol requirements, clinical plan expectations, and study timelines; this includes ensuring medical/technical requirements for data integrity are applied.
• Works with study team to ensure high quality of data e.g. appropriate patient population, adequacy of clinical assessments as study is ongoing.
• Contributes to medical review and interpretation of efficacy and safety data from clinical trials; this includes delivery of top-line report in collaboration with study statistician, and delivery of clinical study report in collaboration with medical writer and accountable for overall quality and timeliness of analysis and reporting.
• Provides protocol specific training to study team, investigators, clinical research associate, and others.
• Interacts with healthcare professionals at sites during the conduct of the study to enable quality, compliance and patient safety at the trial, site and patient level.
• Interacts with DMCs and steering committees as required.
• Notifies appropriate study team personnel of the need to inform investigators of any changes in research activity and any significant new adverse events.
• Monitor investigator compliance with protocol and regulatory requirements.
• Support study team in issues resolution, study closeout, audit responses, inspection readiness, etc.

• Supports the program team:
• Under supervision (director/Sr director) authors clinical sections of regulatory documents (Investigator Brochure, Annual Reports, Investigational New Drug sections, clinical study report).
• May co-author abstracts, posters, presentations and publications.
• May contribute budget execution of protocols.

Interact with regulatory authorities, key opinion leaders, and principal investigators:

• May support Clinical Regulatory Authority interactions accountable for providing responses.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed by a health authority to prescribe medicines (independent of supervision) for at least one year (post "intern/houseman" year) and has utilized the license to prescribe medicines in a patient care setting for an aggregate duration of at least one year.

We are seeking a Director, Analytic Strategic Initiatives – Governance who will lead Analytic Budget Planning, Reporting and Governance for the CAAI organization.  This role will work closely with Senior Leaders in CAAI, Finance, Chief Marketing Office, and People Experience to meet our budget planning, spend tracking, and cost governance needs.

This is an important role as budget captain for an organization of 350+ people and 5 verticals and accountability for overseeing a budget in the ~$200M+ range.  The Director of Analytic Strategic Initiatives is a respected trust partner to Senior Leaders with deep technical expertise and ability to develop, manage, and execute programs and processes related to budget management, budget governance, and analytics ROI.
