Working as the Fundraising and Marketing Director you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of the fundraising and marketing strategies to maximise revenue and raise awareness of the organisation’s work.
As the Fundraising and Marketing Director you will be responsible for diversifying income streams, building strategic relationships, and enhancing the brand profile. DUTIES
Your duties as the Fundraising and Marketing Director include:
Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to increase income from a diverse range of sources, including individual donors, corporate partners, trusts and foundations, and legacies
• Lead the development and execution of a robust marketing strategy that enhances brand visibility, engages key audiences, and supports income generation goals
• Provide leadership and direction to the fundraising and marketing teams, ensuring objectives are clearly defined, performance is monitored, and targets are achieved
• Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to align fundraising and marketing strategies with the organisation’s overall strategic objectives
Fundraising:
• Drive the growth of fundraising income, ensuring long-term financial sustainability through diversified revenue streams
• Develop and manage relationships with high-value donors, corporate partners, and other key stakeholders to secure significant funding and sponsorships
• Oversee grant applications, reporting processes, and donor stewardship activities, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Monitor fundraising trends and developments, adapting strategies as necessary to capitalise on emerging opportunities
Marketing and Communications:
• Oversee the development of impactful marketing campaigns that drive engagement and communicate the organisation’s mission effectively
• Manage the organisation’s brand, ensuring consistency across all channels and materials
• Lead on the development of digital marketing initiatives, including social media, email marketing, and the website, to enhance the online presence
• Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, using insights and analytics to inform marketing strategies and optimise campaign performance
Team Management and Development:
• Line manage and mentor a team of fundraising and marketing professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
• Create a positive and inclusive working environment that motivates and empowers the team to achieve their best
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Significant experience in a senior fundraising and marketing role
• A strong track record of developing and delivering successful fundraising strategies, achieving ambitious income targets
• Demonstrable experience of leading high-impact marketing campaigns, including brand development and digital marketing
• Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and reporting
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
