Parkwood Hall Co-operative Academy is a specialist day and residential school for children and young people aged 8-19 who have moderate to severe learning difficulties and autism. Many of our pupils have additional needs including ADHD, Downs Syndrome and language difficulties. Referrals come from local authorities across London, Kent and the South East.

Background of department/role

The post holder will act as Assistant to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience) and Executive Director of Academic & Student Services and Registrar. Much of the work is of an executive nature and can, at times, be sensitive and highly confidential, therefore, the postholder will be required to always exercise judgement and discretion. When inspectors visited Bexleyheath Academy in July 2021, they said that the way in which pupils work in school has been "transformed", and that "there is a positive atmosphere in classes and around the school".
