Reporting to the General Manager, this is a key leadership role within the Medicine Division at Ipswich Hospital.

You will contribute to the delivery and implementation of the strategic plan for the services, day to day operational management, and the provision of robust delivery plans to ensure access targets are met, delivery of high quality efficiency and effective services, that all key performance indicators are met, and ensure continuous development and review of processes for improving productivity and efficiency.

The Division is undergoing an internal restructure, including the review of single site management Trust wide for some specialist medicine services. This may mean that the portfolio for the post will be subject to change, however the requirement for the role will not be diminished.

This is an exciting opportunity within a positive and vibrant service, for an experienced manager who is looking for their next opportunity.

Previous experience of working in an operational NHS acute management would be highly advantageous.

You will be working as key part of the Clinical Delivery Group Management team and a proven track record of leading teams as well as undertaking the challenges of delivery in a fast paced acute setting is essential.

You should be highly motivated, organised and able to work under high pressure.
• To lead and develop the designated specialties within the Division with responsibility for operationally managing the service.
• To ensure the achievement of National, Regional, Trust and Divisional performance indicators (e.g. RTT, DM01 and Cancer targets), to deliver a high quality, effective service, where patient experience and patient safety is central.
• Responsible for ensuring the services are delivering against key standards and objectives, and are fit for purpose (e.g. GIRFT) In particular financial expenditure targets, costs control, CIPS, CQUIN, and activity targets for the Services.
• Ensuring waiting lists are triaged and clinical prioritisation of patients is captured to allow for patients to be treated within the timeframes stipulated within the national guidance.
• Lead on the management and continuous monitoring of demand and capacity for services, ensuring any gaps are closed through improvements in efficiencies or investment when required.

The role holder will have lead accountability across a significant or specialist area for the delivery of a range of major and minor technical projects, corporate initiatives and other work packages. As a subject matter expert, the role holder will oversee the design, development and implementation of innovative frameworks which enable the operation of effective technical services and support their contribution to the achievement of strategic and operational objectives.

The roles which provide an operational and strategic function within the service and will specifically:

• Provide direct support to the Engineering Design Manager.
• Provide leadership to the assigned team.
• Responsibility for the design of multiple schemes including minor highways design, sustainable transport, traffic engineering, cycling & walking, landscape architecture and residents parking.

• Support feasibility studies, consultations and surveys.
• Responsibility for undertaking duties in relation to Section 278 and 38 agreements

• Carry out the duties of Principal Designer in accordance with CDM 2015.
• Prepare technical designs and contract documents.

• Resource planning and budget management to ensure an efficient and cost[1]effective service delivery.

The City Council is looking for two enthusiastic & dynamic Senior Project Managers, to help deliver our ambitious new Housing Strategy.

With a target of 36,000 new homes, including 10,000 new affordable homes, Manchester has set an ambitious target for new housing growth. In order to help us deliver our Strategy, we are seeking to appoint two experienced Senior Project Managers to coordinate and deliver a series of affordable housing projects in neighbourhoods in the North and South of the city. Based in the Strategic Housing team, the Senior Project Managers will play a leading role within the Growth & Development Directorate – set up to drive sustainable economic growth and the transformation of the city - coordinating work externally with Registered Providers through MHPP (the Manchester Housing Providers Partnership) and with private developers in conjunction with Development, Legal and Planning teams within MCC.

About the role - The role will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the successful delivery of key strategic affordable housing projects in line with our Housing Strategy commitment to build 10,000 new affordable homes in the period to 2022
• Negotiating funding / investment opportunities with public and private partners including working with Homes England and other Government departments to help attract external funding to key projects in the city
• Identifying suitable land and property opportunities and working with colleagues on the disposal of MCC land for affordable housing
• Managing project risks & constraints, scrutinising development appraisals, coordinating the required project resources and managing professional teams
• Monitoring and reporting on performance indicators in line with our strategic objectives

Responsibilities, Activities and Duties

The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:

• Ensure that the required number of programme sessions are delivered as outlined in the Treatment Management Manual within each 12 month period.
• Responsible for the quality of delivery of the programme which includes the preparation, engagement, facilitation, assessment, reporting and ongoing support of participants and staff involved in delivering offending behaviour programmes.
• Responsible for ensuring that programmes are delivered in accordance with their design and that facilitators adhere to the principles of the programme.
• Responsible for ensuring facilitators are properly selected and have been through the selection procedure as set out in the Treatment Management Manual.
• Responsible for the ongoing support and continuing professional skill development of facilitators.
• Responsible for setting a supervision contract with facilitators, providing professional supervision (majority within lifetime of the group) that is compliant with the Treatment Management Manual.
• Responsible for Video Monitoring (VM) the required amount of sessions as set out in the Management Manual.
• Provide feedback from the VM to facilitators in a way which develops their skills and improves the delivery of the programme.
• Maintain a log, complete reports in line with national guidance and complete the majority of VM within the lifetime of group (or in a timely fashion for rolling programmes).
• Ensure national guidelines on the assessment and selection of prisoners are followed to ensure that only those prisoners who require the programme, on the basis of risk, need, responsivity and diversity are selected for the programme.
• Ensure national guidelines for the de-selection of prisoners are followed where necessary.
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork including those associated with the clinical assurance process is completed and sent to HMPPS on time.
• Supervise and authorise post programme reports ensuring they meet the needs of those for whom they are written such as prisoner manager, parole board.
• Respond to any local queries or complaints about the delivery of the programme.
• Where relevant, attend counselling support sessions at the rate outlined in the Treatment Management Manual for Sex Prisoner Treatment Programme (SOTP) and Domestic Violence (DV) programmes only and ensure facilitators attend
counselling support sessions at the required rate.
• Attend all relevant training and the Regional and/or National Treatment Manager meetings.
• Contribute to the function and activities of the Accredited Intervention Management (AIMs) team and attend regular meetings (minimum of 10 per year).
• Contribute to local programme Awareness Training.
• Contribute to sentence planning and reducing reoffending. Applies safer custody practices and complies with national and local security standards.
