• Conduct comprehensive community needs assessment on an annual basis to identify Family support program requirements.
• Serve as the primary Beneficiary Counseling and Assistance Coordinator (BCAC) for military personnel and their Families to obtain medical care information needed for treatment through a variety of programs.
• Provide one-on-one briefings to incoming service members and their Family members to help them understand the full range of programs and benefits available.
• Maintain information regarding Soldiers who are enrolled in the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP).

• Assists the Service Owned Items in DLA Custody Program Management Office (SOIDC PMO) to communicate the program vision and desired outcome in terms of strategic goals in support of audit initiatives.
• Assists with analyzing deviations and problems and develops solutions to ensure commitments are met.
• Provides program leadership to ensure commitments to and from various stakeholders is met and execution targets are achieved.

• Determine the primary next of kin based on regulatory definition and the person authorized to direct the disposition of the remains.
• Ensure that remains are properly identified, released only with proper authorization, and that they are dispositioned properly in accordance with state, federal and DoD regulations.

• Responsible for the inventory of active-duty member's personal effects on in-house deaths and proper disposition including ensuring that effects are returned to family in such a way to minimize suffering of family.
• Responsible for facilitating any request of the legal next of kin and follows up to make sure request has been honored.
• Coordinate with deceased active-duty member's command for information for death certificates, uniforms, escort and consignee mortuary information.

The incumbent provides the functions related to on-site bui lding management while providing direction to 2 or 3 other building managers who perform the same tasks. Responsible for 4-6 buildings that may house as many as 2,000 residents.Perform inspections of vacant rooms and common areas daily checking for cleanliness and maintenance problems. Conducts other inspections with the Complex Manager, Bachelor Housing Manager and others as needed.Acts as an escort when Public Works or contractors require access to occupied rooms.The incumbent performs various maintenance related actions associated with their assigned buildings. Initiates trouble calls and work requests for any maintenance problems.Performs minor maintenance actions (changing light bulbs , preventative maintenance on fire extinguishers, paint , replace air filters, etc.) .Follows up on all corrective actions to ensure completion and satisfaction of the resident/ staff. Tracks all submitted trouble tickets and ensure they are completed when the ticket is closed.The incumbent is accountable for, and responsible for , control of the furniture, fixtures, and equipment in their assigned buildings .Ensures both FF&E and utilization information in BQRTS is correct and updated regularly.Coordinates with front desk and/or staff and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready for occupancy. Will ensure rooms not ready for occupancy receive whatever work is required to get ready for occupancy.Performs duty of safety officer for assigned buildings .Provides input for short and long range planning .Clears snow from entryways, sidewalks, and parking lot as necessary. May be required to perform grounds maintenance functions .Performs other related duties as assigned.

Independently conducts group guidance sessions of a varying nature. This counseling deals with institutional adjustment, U.S. Parole commission, release planning, and interpersonal communications, individual counseling sessions varying in methods and intensity relevant to the individual's problems. They may focus on helping the individual offender understand and live within the complex family circumstances and assist him in developing new adjustment techniques. The Case Manager helps the offender view problems objectively and to deal with them realistically. Routinely deals with community resources to secure information and develop release plans. Prepare special progress reports for such consideration as parole, transfer, restoration of forfeited good time, and makes appropriate recommendations. Corresponds with attorneys, judges, probation and parole officers and other professionals regarding the inmate's case.

Prepares diagnostic studies, responsible for collecting, interpreting and evaluating factual information reflecting developmental and circumstantial factors for the assigned caseload of inmates. Acts in a liaison capacity with other units and institutional employees on matters concerning inmate behavior. Serves as the primary liaison with the U.S. Parole Commission in reporting the inmate's program progress, readiness or lack of readiness for release, and resources in the community relevant to the desirability of his release. Actively develops program planning by presenting cases to the Unit Team and coordinating case management services with other correctional disciplines.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
