The projects you can expect to work on will range from £5m to £50m in value so this project starting will be on the larger side. You'll have genuine opportunity for progression here, all of the management staff have been with the company 10-15 years plus so can demonstrate this is business that promotes from within. If you're successful in this role, you could expect to be a contracts manager in the next 2-3 years.

In order to be considered for this role, you must have experience of working for a main contractor as a site manager. This could be working on schools, hospitals, industrial or a wide range of sectors but it would be preferential if you have steel frame building experience. My client, a housing developer, is looking to hire an Assistant Site Manager for a new 150+ traditional build scheme based in Corby (Northamptonshire) consisting of all traditionally built houses & flats. A Mixture of private sale, HA, PSR and bulk packages

The ideal candidate will have experience of working as either a Trainee/Assistant Site manager within a production team on similar new build traditional build projects. Someone who is keen, driven and wants to build a successful career with a growing business.

Duties,

• Assistant Site Manager reporting in to a Site Manager
• Depending on experience you will be working with either External or Internal packages
• Support with inductions and toolbox talks
• Working in line with company programmes and have a clear understanding of customer care
• Ensure sub-contractors and trades staff are working inline with programme and targets
• Ensure any issues that cannot be rectified are brought to the attention of the No'1 on site.
• Organise all trades & Labour and sub-contractors
• Providing clear direction to the on-site construction team regarding responsibilities and targets
• Ensuring the development is completed in accordance with specification and the build programme
• Driving through quality at every stage of the construction process
• Health and Safety is followed and adhered to
• Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others
• Ensuring any remedial work is completed prior to occupation

Qualifications,

• Trainee/Assistant Site Management experience in either residential or commercial build.
• Trade background, whilst being a supervisor would be an advantage
• Willing to take on additional duties and training offered by the company
• CSCS
• First Aid,
