Job Overview
Georgetown University's Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs is collaborating with the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for the Women Faith Leaders Fellowship (WFLF). The program, following a successful pilot cohort in 2022-2023, is dedicated to guiding the leadership development of Catholic sisters in select African countries. Focused on women's empowerment and gender equity, the WFLF aims to cultivate leadership capacity, integrate sisters' work in specific contexts, foster community impact, promote women's empowerment, and develop a scalable fellowship model. The program includes a robust set of activities, such as a Women Faith Leaders Certificate, launch events, DC-based training, virtual engagements, alumnae networking, capstone projects, mentorship, and optional additional networking and travel opportunities.
Monitoring, evaluation, and learning are key components, ensuring a clear understanding of the program's effectiveness and the potential for scalability and replication. The WFLF's holistic approach aims to empower Catholic sisters as influential leaders championing positive change in their communities and beyond.
Job Overview
The Outreach Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Women in Faith Leadership Fellowship and actively contributes to the achievement of its mission.
As the main point of contact for fellows, they manage and maintain positive relationships with the participants, including recruitment, onboarding, logistics, problem-solving, travel and hospitality arrangements, and participation in global events.
Moreover, the Outreach Manager takes the lead in outreach efforts, fostering connections among fellows, the Georgetown community, and the wider audiences - including overseeing communications and sharing information about the grant's activities.
They are a key player, combining administrative skills, interpersonal abilities, and strategic outreach to contribute to the fellowship's success.
This position is fully funded by an external grant award with duration contingent on the source's continued support.
Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation
Reporting to both the Senior Project Manager and to the Berkley Center’s Executive Director, and the Operations Manager works closely with and under the direction of the Principal Investigators.
They also work closely with the leadership team of the Center, which includes the Director, Director of Administration and Strategic Projects, Communications Manager, and Director of Events.
Further, the Operations Manager interacts with Center and other Georgetown faculty, staff, students, as well as external partners; these interactions take place in person, by phone, and via email.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 4 years of management experience in related area
- Proficiency with Google G Suite applications
- Well-developed personal skills, great attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to plan, analyze and coordinate multiple projects, and to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while consistently meeting all deadlines
- Experience in project development and evaluation
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
The Operations Manager is required to spend two weeks in Washington, DC while hosting the fellows on the Georgetown University campus, and to participate in travel to Africa to meet the fellows prior to their DC trip.
