About the Role Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant.

As Land Manager, you'll be accountable for ensuring that all the necessary legal land agreement requirements are in place on our renewable energy projects. You'll work with project teams across our UK portfolio of development & construction sites, with a primary focus on securing and managing onshore land rights for electrical infrastructure works packages required by offshore wind projects.
Some of your other main accountabilities will include;
- Land negotiations during the site / route identification and assessment phase, through development, project refinement and execution / construction stages.
- Work collaboratively with project consents and engineering teams, as well as managing external project land consultants.
- Prepare detailed land assembly strategies to include standardised valuation principles and project budget forecasts.
- Compile detailed land referencing and manage all communications with external landowner stakeholders / their agents.
- Support the Development Consent Order (DCO) process and lead on the associated Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) application.
What do I need? Ideally, you'll have a background within Renewables or a similar Power Generation environment, within a commercial land capacity.
We would also love you to have;
- A degree level qualification in a relevant discipline, such as rural surveying, land economy, estate management or similar.
- A professional membership of a relevant technical or professional body, such as RICS, CAAV or similar.
- Experience in the successful delivery of land rights required for long liner electricity infrastructure projects.
- An excellent understanding of various types of land use and associated environmental constraints / legislation.
- A good understanding of the challenges that may be faced in obtaining planning consent for and constructing, long liner infrastructure projects. Knowledge in Development Consent Order and Compulsory Purchase Order processes would be advantageous.
