What You’ll Do

You'll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals.

• Lead a team of engineers across a variety of industries/sectors through the entire project life cycle including conceptual studies, specification, development, integration, testing and start-up
• Oversee and support projects including planning, scheduling, creating technical standards, productivity, and workloads
• Ensure timely and thorough design coordination with technical delivery team leads and project design managers; conduct 30/60/90 design progress milestone reviews
• Assume responsibility for the overall success of team and projects mangers
• Communicate project updates to the project team and the client
• Assist in the preparation of proposals for new scopes of work including defining the scope of activities and estimating necessary level of effort (person-hours)
• Recognize when extra or out-of-scope engineering work is requested or performed; assist the project managers with change management
• Apply a broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for managed work groups in support of related operations
• Assume and support recruiting responsibilities
• Develop training objectives and strategies, and mentor and guide team members  
• Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team

What You’ll Bring

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and production of construction document packages for industrial design within the high tech, food & beverage, or pharmaceutical industries
• Solid knowledge of complex architecture & design process systems, instrumentation, device selection, networking, PLC & I/O architectures, P&IDs, data sheets, and SCADA
• Experience in the oversight of projects that incorporate engineering, design, and programming of integrated and automated manufacturing systems
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication, leadership, teamwork, partnering, and mentoring skills
• Experienced in developing solid client relationships
• Experience as an Engineer of Record
• Willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
• Bachelor of science in instrument & controls, electrical, electronic, chemical, or mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• A professional engineer (PE) license and a willingness to obtain professional engineer (PE) licenses in additional states

You will join our AEP Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.

What You’ll Do

You'll work individually and in teams to implement solutions for a specific client. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals.

• Perform due diligence for site selection and site planning activities which will include, but is not limited to, preliminary local zoning and environmental evaluation (endangered species, critical habitats, wetlands, archaeological/cultural/historic resources).
• Assist in site plan design for industrial facility applications including conceptual drainage, conceptual grading and preparation of Low Impact Development (LID) plans.
• Complete hydraulic calculations and analysis and prepare reports in formats acceptable to the jurisdictional authorities.
• Supervise design using analysis software and AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCad.
• Completion of engineering calculations and create design using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Create and assemble a complete set of site construction documents
• Develop specifications on a project specific basis using company templates, interface with on-site and remote cross-functional project teams.
• Prepare and administer site plan and environmental related permit applications through approval, which may include attending on-site meetings and workshops at local, county, regional, state and federal levels anywhere in the United States.
• Stay up to date and current of all changes in codes and industry standards both at state and national levels.
• Oversee and administer the activities of other civil consultants (Geotech, Surveying, etc)
• Read and evaluate the following:
  • Land Surveys and GIS Mapping
  • Geotechnical Engineering reports
  • Wetland delineation reports
  • Traffic studies
  • Phase I, II and III environmental assessment reports
  • Subsurface location surveys
  • Noise and sound studies
  • Wildlife/ critical habitat/ archeological/ historic/ and cultural resource reports
• Help define Site Design Concept documents for projects.
• Perform site and facility condition assessments.

What You will Get To Do:

The Program Manager shall be responsible for the successful cost, schedule, and performance of a $200M contract. Serves as the main point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO), the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), the Government Program Manager, and the Contractor’s senior management. Directly contributes to the program efforts in several areas, including cost management/avoidance, schedule estimation and tracking, contract performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance activities. Ensures proper performance of tasks necessary to ensure the most efficient and effective execution of the contract. You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of a TS security clearance with SCI eligibility

• Fifteen (15) years of experience as a program/project manager managing a large contract >$100M.

• Must have a PMP, FAC-P/PM Senior Level, or DAWIA Level 3 certification in Program Management. 

• Must have demonstrated experience in managing multi-task contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity, as well as experience in leading a multi-vendor environment is required. 

• Shall be knowledgeable of the guidelines provided by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFAR), DoD 5000 series, and ICD 801 policies. 

• Must have demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting. 

• Must have at least three years of demonstrated experience in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms (for example Earned Value Management).

Key Role:

Execute a lessons program that captures best practices and areas for improvement from exercises and real-world operations.
