The above 1.0 FTE post is immediately available on a fixed term basis until 31/08/2025. The postholder will be a member of Exeter Innovation’s Sector Team based in Exeter. (0.8FTE might be considered)
Summary of the role
Exeter Innovation aims to bring a new focus to partnerships and collaborative working with external, non-university partners in the Southwest region, nationally and internationally and to drive place-based innovation. Its key aim is to secure significantly greater income and impact and significantly better outputs and outcomes from relationships with partners drawing on the University’s education, research and physical assets.
We are seeking a highly skilled IPDM business development manager on the area of Metamaterials. It will require interaction with strategic partnerships in the area, business stakeholders, government bodies, academics and research councils (particularly EPRSC). The interaction will focus around development of a particular programme of activity towards long term funding, which will require liaison internally across teams, externally with academic partners and stakeholders and with research councils and other funding bodies (e.g. Government).
