Position Overview:

As a Facilities and Project Manager within our Pallet Division, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing a variety
of facilities and special projects. This role requires exceptional project management skills, a deep understanding of facility
operations, and the ability to introduce and implement effective project management methodologies. Your primary responsibility
will be to ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of all assigned projects, with a strong focus on meeting

are adherence to.



In this role, you will oversee the planning, design, and construction of facilities projects, including renovations, upgrades, and

cost-effectiveness. You will also prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and action items to keep the project on track.





Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Construction Management, Engineering, Facilities Management) or equivalent
experience.
* Expert Knowledge of CDM regulations and industry standards.
* Proven experience in project management, preferably in facilities or construction projects.
* Strong understanding of facilities management operations and best practices.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Monday.com).

About the role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Pre-Construction Manager to join our Power T&D team, the successful candidate should live within a commutable distance to either our Derby or Maxim office.

Power T&D is about to embark on a journey of unprecedented growth and has a series of Major Projects that will be developed through an initial Early Contractor Involvement/pre-construction phase;

• ECI and pre construction are a pivotal stage in the life cycle of a project - it connects business development to The work undertaken during this period influences every part of the delivery phase;
• The Pre-Construction Manager will be involved from the ECI Phase through detailed design, through to start on site;
• A key part of the role is to manage a seamless transition through the stages of our governance process - the Gated Lifecycle;

• This newly created role is to focus on the successful execution of ECI and Stage One contracts for our key clients SSEN Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission;

What you'll be doing

• Act as the lead day-to-day point of contact for the customer on allocated project/s working alongside the operational lead who will own the delivery solution;
• Alongside the operational lead, they will guide and motivate the pre-construction/ECI team for given project/s; coordinating deliverables of the team from feasibility proposal, throughout pre- construction (design development and scope definition) to formulation of final submission to secure a delivery agreement for construction;
• Support development of win strategies to successfully transition projects from feasibility/ECI, to pre-construction, to successful award of main site works;
• Work hand-in-hand with the proposals team to ensure feasibility and delivery agreement submissions are always to a high standard;

You will report to the Registered Locality Manager for operational activity within the Derbyshire area. To ensure regulatory and contractual compliance requirements in your allocated services are met and exceeded whilst driving the continued development and delivery of cost-effective, innovative and truly person-centred support.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.

An enhanced DBS is required for this role.

Your new role

Over seeing a team of 5, you will lead the team in ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to and that all Employee Relation cases are handled in a timely manner and in line with company SLA's. You will ensure that all cases are logged and processes are followed in the correct way, along with follow-ups, recommendations and next steps advised. This will involve all levels, from disciplinaries to grievances, performance, absence, sickness, as well as managing TUPE and Redundancies. You will ensure that stakeholder and shareholder relationships are maintained and that the HR strategy is delivered.This is an extremely busy and fast-paced role and requires a candidate with experience of working in multidisciplined and matrix organisations.

• Undertake the open up and lock up of the school site and buildings, maintaining a high security procedure
• Undertake minor maintenance and DIY and a programme of general maintenance and housekeeping to ensure the school is clean and safe for all to use

You will be joining a multi-accredited main contractor based in Derby operating across the power, industrial and commercial industries. Your new role
As Site Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multiple power schemes, from inception through to completion, across England. You will be based on one site at a time, managing subcontractors and direct labour on schemes valued up to £20m. Works will include groundworks, drainage and RC works. You will also be expected to commute and lodge at sites further afield if need be.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have:

• Previous experience overseeing the successful delivery of civil works (ideally within the power, industrial and/or commercial industries)
• CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid
• Ability to manage and lead a team effectively to ensure successful project outcomes
• Sound interpersonal, leadership and organisational skills
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Every item sold in our shops generates funding so we can continue to provide 2.7 million hours of expert medical, practical, bereavement and emotional support every year, in our hospices, in people's homes and in the community. As a member of the retail team, you’ll be helping us inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. You will also be contributing to drive up the income that generates the vital funds necessary to keep our care and support services running.

In retail most work every weekend, our managers mainly work only 1 in 2. We don't expect our teams to work past 5.15 in most of our shops. The earliest we start is 8.45am. About you
Are you an experienced proactive shop manager? Do you have the retail skills to manage our charity store? If so, come and join the team at our Matlock shop and contribute to the work we do across Sue Ryder!

To be successful in this role you’ll have the commercial awareness to deliver sales and meet deadlines combined with ability to plan and prioritise. You will have proven team leadership skills and the ability to lead a large team of volunteers. It is essential is that you enjoy engaging with people, you have a positive can-do attitude and a good understanding of financial and IT administration.

Other responsibilities include:

• As Shop Manager you will be using your skills and retail experience to drive business, push sales and achieve targets.
• Lead your team to deliver great customer service to our donors and customers.
• Work with the local community to generate sufficient donated stock to drive sales.
• Recruit, train & retain a volunteer team, who'll look to you for leadership and guidance.
• Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping, ensuring you and your teams health and safety is a priority.
• Manage effective stock processes to ensure your shop is well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock at all times.
• Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder, supporting in store campaigns to promote the brand and national fundraising initiatives.
• Manage effective stock processes through the Epos operation.
