Creative Support is a national not-for-profit provider of community services for adults with a variety of social care needs. We are offering the exciting new role of Supporting Living Manager for our vibrant supported living service, commissioned by Worcestershire County Council. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Supported Living Manager to work in our modern service near the centre of the town of Bromsgrove. The service is a beautiful scheme of multiple apartments, with an additional spacious hub for which will serve as your office, a meeting space for service users, a place to host activities, workshops and exciting fund raising initiatives!
The service is delivered jointly between Creative Support and Bromford Housing and benefits from an onsite housing enabler, which allows us to offer a collaborative approach to meet service users housing and social care needs.
As Supported Living Manager you will be based on site and oversee the daily operation of the service, ensuring a high standard of housing and support at all times. The service will provide support to tenants with a learning disability and/or autism, some of whom may have other needs including physical disabilities and mental health needs. Our focus is on providing person-centred, outcome focused support which enables people to lead fulfilling and valued lives, maintain their tenancies, participate in the local community, develop independent living skills and achieve their personal goals and desired outcomes. You will ensure that the service maximises positive outcomes and achieves the highest standards of service delivery, contract and CQC compliance. You will be responsible for all aspects of operational management, including:
• Leading, managing and supervising a team of staff
• Ensuring that caring and respectful personalised support is provided at all times
• Achieving positive outcomes for all service users
• Managing the accommodation and facilities effectively and ensuring that they are maintained to a high standard
• Ensuring that the service is provided in accordance with the individual’s support plans, the service specification and CQC requirements
• Maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders
As the Supported Living Manager you will be expected to fully understand the needs of all service users and to act as a professional role model, coaching and mentoring staff. A high level of motivation and personal commitment is required along with demonstrable skills and experience in assessing needs and planning support, deploying and supervising staff and working effectively with stakeholders.
You will ensure that staff encourage and support people to express their aspirations, make choices, develop skills and actively participate in planning the support they need. To achieve this you will also be expected to work professionally alongside the multi-disciplinary team and communicate positively with families, carers and friends. A relevant degree or vocational qualification in health or social care is required (such as diploma 3/4/5).
