What you’ll be doing…

In this role, you'll play a vital part in securing project resources, maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, and driving the delivery of contract activities. Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, you'll assist in developing and implementing strategies aligned with the overall programme execution plan.

You will:


- Drive the delivery of contract activities, ensuring they are safe, timely, and within budget, meeting business and technical requirements. Monitor progress against milestones, deadlines, and budget, providing key stakeholders with insightful reports.

Who you are…

In this role, we’re looking for you to demonstrate a track record of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment.

With this, your management of developing engineering design, contract and field execution strategies for project delivery, Multi-discipline EPCM projects, Procurement and management of complex contracts, Control of costs / risks will be paramount in this role. Other requirements for this role also include:


- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Leadership and its application in complex projects. This, in turn, should link with holding excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
- Experience of successfully engaging groups of stakeholders.
- Able to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, financial management, change management and facilitation. Proficient in the use of estimating scheduling, programming and risk tools.
- Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects, in a regulated environment. Including NEC and FIDIC contracts.


Previous experience of working within a MEH background and experience of working in construction within a nuclear setting would be desirable however, not essential. We’re looking for you to demonstrate your quality of delivery and have a “right first time” approach to your work.

What you’ll be doing…

- Define the work scope to be delivered within the contract or package of work and the interfaces to the other elements of the programme.
- Assist in securing the required resources to meet their project requirements, promptly identifying any personnel shortfalls or issues within their project team.

Purpose of Job:

• To ensure that the needs of young people in Headway's care are met and to provide a positive and safe living experience for these young people and;
• To manage and lead Residential Support Workers in order to provide a high quality of childcare

Key Responsibilities:

• To work on shift to ensure that the Home runs efficiently and effectively to a high standard and young people are safeguarded at all times. Thus creating a homely environment for the young people in our care, taking into account their views, wishes and feelings.
• To manage Residential Support Workers within their team, delivering supervision in accordance with company policy.

Essential skills:

• Good overall standard of education.

• Good report writing and numeracy skills. Well organised with good administration skills. IT literate.

We are currently recruiting for a technical Authority Manager, to develop and lead the site-based Technical Authority team, which forms an extension of the HPC Design Authority, to deliver HPC site critical work maintaining the safety case whilst supporting project delivery, within the Join Design Office (JDO).
The team will be a part of the company Design Authority but based on site at HPC to provide responsive support to the project. The team will be responsible for maintaining design integrity and compliance with the safety case whilst supporting staff development to support the future operating model.

What you’ll be doing…
As the Technical Authority Manager, the candidate is expected to have a good understanding of the role of the Design Authority in HPC. The role holder reports to the Technical Branch Manager and is also accountable to the Design Authority Branch Manager for the purpose of aligned Design Authority competency and governance arrangement via a matrix reporting line.

- Ensuring the maintenance of nuclear safety barriers related to the HPC site activities, including processes for management of the design, safety case and its configuration control (LC14, LC20
and LC22). Ensuring risks are reduced ALARP.
- Managing the interface with project resource stakeholders to ensure a pipeline of team members being available from appropriate groups at different phases of the project. Ensuring sufficient safety
case officer provision within the team to discharge HPC site requirements.
- Discharging the duty of care for health and welfare of the team. Budget responsibility for the team. Planning/scheduling of work to meet required programme. Ensuring timely and clear communication
between senior management and staff. Ensuring work executed within the team meets quality
requirements.
- Ensuring the implementation of the Management of Organisational Change (MoC) process, including LC36 assessments and provision of MoC documents, for the team.
- Establishing the Technical Team with support from JDO and DA Lead Teams.
- Managing the technical competency of individuals in the team, providing training, mentoring and ensuring shared learning across the team.
- Developing and maintaining an awareness of the technical aspects of the work associated with the team to a sufficient level to be able to manage conflicts, determine priorities and
make effective decisions.
- Liaising with various regulators and maintenance of effective regulatory interfaces primarily with Internal/External Regulators with site focuses. Participation in and (as appropriate)
chairing ONR Level 4 meetings, plus interface with RIO.
- To ensure that NNB act as a responsible licensee and that Design Authority delivers design assurance/maintains design integrity including effective interfacing with the Responsible Designer
and other parts of the Project including construction.
Who you are…

- Working Knowledge of nuclear safety cases and how they are developed.
- Previous line management experience
- Familiarity with the nuclear site licence and its requirements
- Experience dealing with regulators.
- Strong leadership experience and stakeholder management and engagement skills.
- Knowledge of HPC Safety Case and UK EPR Design
- Demonstrable system-based safety case experience and whole plant safety cases that span multiple disciplines.
