Your Responsibilities as Part of Our Team


Assist the General Manager in ensuring that the customer experience is consistently delivered at each point in the customer journey

Our new Options School will be a day school catering for pupils aged 5 to 11 with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour primarily with a diagnosis of ASD. About the role

As a Headteacher, you will promote a relentless focus on high quality, creative learning, delivering our pupils educational needs, maximising pupil achievement, and their ability to develop.

As Headteacher you will have an infrastructure of support from central services for Finance, Resourcing, HR and IT including a network of supportive Headteachers from other schools alongside central school improvement support.

Essential Criteria:

As Deputy Manager you will support the Registered Manager in all aspects of the day-to-day running of Area Camden's service delivery. Promoting a caring environment which provides young people aged 11 to 18 with a high standard of support, meeting individual needs, ensuring everyone is treated with respect and dignity as well as rights to privacy and independence. To support the Registered Manager to supervise, monitor and evaluate the care delivered to young people ensuring legal and up to date registration requirements are delivered in line with Area Camden's Statement of Purpose.

The Role


You’ll be responsible for ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance, Company and Client policy and procedural compliance and have the utmost regard for staff, contractor, and public safety.
You’ll also be responsible for the ongoing development, management and maintenance of the electronic Construction Work Permit System that will be used to control and coordinate activities, to allow the safe execution of works on site at Sizewell C.

You’ll manager the day-to-day permit to work office operations to ensure Permit to Work processes are followed, to ensure Method Statements, Risk Assessments and other attachments have been reviewed and verified by the Permit Team, prior to the issue of documents, authorisations or permits to work.

You’ll be involved in the development and implementation of the site’s arrangements for Permit to Work.
You’ll manage Contractor Partners expectations when identifying competent persons for training as SZC Permit Acceptors.
You’ll have accountability for ensuring all authorised persons under the Sizewell C Permit to Work process are identified as competent by their employers.


The Skills


You’ll need to have knowledge and demonstrable practical experience of the administration of an Electronic Permit to Work System or associated Safe Systems of Works.

A full understanding of UK Health and Safety regulations – in particular the Construction (Design and Management) regulations 2015 (CDM) – and how they are applied to a construction environment.

You’ll be experienced in leading and managing a team of people.

Excellent communication/interpersonal skills notably within various levels of the organisation and externally.

You’ll have extensive knowledge of electrical or mechanical industry best practice.

Extensive knowledge of legislation relating to the control of construction-based hazards and risks associated with the execution of a major infrastructure project.

You’ll hold an engineering or Science degree or similar qualification where it can be evidenced that management of safety was a core module of the qualification and a NEBOSH Certificate orindustry recognised equivalent.

Experience in multi-discipline Construction Works, interface management and co-ordination of contractors and workstreams.
