This Stakeholder Manager position is located at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:

• Perform a wide range of programmatic and operational functions for the HPE Office.
• Oversee all functions related to the administration of HPE funding, accreditation, appointment process, and affiliate relationships in accordance with VHA directives, handbooks, policies, memos, and notices.

• Lead housekeeping aids in the accomplishment of daily housekeeping duties to ensure cleanliness of the facility is maintained.

Independently conducts group guidance sessions of a varying nature. This counseling deals with institutional adjustment, U.S. Parole commission, release planning, and interpersonal communications, individual counseling sessions varying in methods and intensity relevant to the individual's problems. They may focus on helping the individual offender understand and live within the complex family circumstances and assist him in developing new adjustment techniques. The Case Manager helps the offender view problems objectively and to deal with them realistically. Routinely deals with community resources to secure information and develop release plans. Prepare special progress reports for such consideration as parole, transfer, restoration of forfeited good time, and makes appropriate recommendations. Corresponds with attorneys, judges, probation and parole officers and other professionals regarding the inmate's case.

Prepares diagnostic studies, responsible for collecting, interpreting and evaluating factual information reflecting developmental and circumstantial factors for the assigned caseload of inmates. Acts in a liaison capacity with other units and institutional employees on matters concerning inmate behavior. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.

The incumbent serves as a working leader for 1 WG-10 Maintenance Mechanic, 1 WG-9 Maintenance Mechanic, 2 WG-8 Maintenance Worker, 2 WG-8 Gardener, 8 WG-6 Cemetery Caretakers, temporaries, apprentices, and work studies as applicable. The Cemetery Caretaker Leader will also perform a variety of seasonal grounds maintenance tasks associated with interments, gardening, grounds maintenance and facilities maintenance on cemetery property.

Receives work assignments from the Supervisor (Operations Foreman). Relays to other workers instructions received from the supervisor, provides adequate work for the entire crew. Ensures that required plans, equipment, materials, tools, and appropriate supplies necessary to complete assigned tasks are obtained from appropriate sources. Brings to the Foreman's attention any shortages of personnel, equipment, or other resources that may have impact on the work.

Work schedule: May be required to work Monday through Friday to include occasional weekends. Due to the mission of the National Cemetery, the cemetery cannot be closed for more than 2 consecutive days at any given time. Additionally, when a Federal holiday falls on a Monday or Friday, staff may be required to work on that holiday or a Saturday. All staff is required to work Memorial Day each year.
