Main Purpose of JOB

This role is a key member of the team responsible for the preparation of the Client's listed group Annual Report and Accounts ("ARA") and Interim Results Statement. The Group Statutory Reporting Accountant will work primarily on specific accounting areas for the group financial statements, including note preparation for the accounts, and work to enhance documentation and controls.

The role involves working to tight deadlines to meet reporting deadlines. The role requires regular liaison with Client Business Units and the external auditor and is responsible for the preparation and audit requirements of elements of the Group accounts and additionally certain subsidiary statutory accounts.

The role reports to the Statutory Reporting Manager and involves working closely with the Director of Group Reporting and other senior Finance contacts. To do this effectively, you will need an understanding of the Client's markets and operations, IFRS and other relevant GAAP.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential Job Specific Skills and Experiences

• Fully qualified Accountant with 5+ years Post Qualified Experience in a Financial Reporting or External Audit role, ideally with relevant industry experience
• Experience of listed plc reporting and corporate governance requirements would be advantageous.
• Fully up to date knowledge of accounting standards and corporate governance requirements
• Interpretative and analytical skills to assimilate complex issues into reporting and accounting solutions.

These senior electrical design engineer position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. The ideal candidate will be someone that has a proven track record of delivering electrical distribution and control systems for special purpose machinery.

Role Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for designing LV distribution and control systems for bespoke machines which are utilised within a production/manufacturing environment.

• Produce single line and schematic diagrams using Solidworks electrical.
• Provide electrical calculations where appropriate.

The Directorate also leads and advises on procurement and contract management matters for Transport Scotland.

Murray Recruitment are seeking a highly organised and experienced Senior Support Administrator for a permanent position based in Glasgow.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting a team of Administrators, ensuring the smooth running of reactive repairs contracts within the social housing sector. This role will be a hands-on position and you will utilise a job management system to coordinate tasks, re-arrange follow-up appointments, report on contract performance, and accurately input all relevant details upon completion of works.

Responsibilities

Team Management:
Supervise and lead a team of support staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
Co-ordinate tasks effectively to ensure the efficient allocation of resources and optimal performance of the team.
Contract Oversight:
Oversee the smooth running of reactive repairs contracts within the social housing sector.
Ensure that all contracts are executed in accordance with agreed-upon KPIs and SLAs.
Monitor contract performance closely and take proactive measures to address any issues or deviations from established standards.
Task Coordination:
Utilise a job management system to coordinate tasks, prioritise workloads for engineers, and allocate resources efficiently.
Re-arrange follow-up appointments promptly when parts or materials arrive, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery.
Reporting and Documentation:
Generate regular reports on contract performance, highlighting key metrics such as response times, completion rates, and customer satisfaction scores.
Maintain accurate records of all works completed, including detailed documentation of tasks, materials used, and associated costs.
Input all relevant details into the job management system upon completion of works, ensuring data integrity and compliance with reporting requirements.

Experience and Skills

Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of successfully managing contracts within the facilities management, building services or property services industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Excellent organisational abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to task management.
Proficiency in using job management systems and other relevant software applications.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and clients.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond effectively to changing priorities and operational requirements.
