This is a fixed term full time role available from 1st December 2024 until 13th February 2026 to cover maternity.
The role offers the opportunity for hybrid work - on the Streatham campus and from home.
Summary of the role:
This role will provide financial support to the Professional Services within the University, providing senior budget holders with the expert financial guidance and support necessary for making informed strategic decisions.
The Senior Management accountant will be responsible for leading and developing a team undertaking financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and monitoring and will play a key role in providing decision support in the delivery and financial management of large and diverse budgets across the Professional Support Services; including areas such as Finance, IT, Digital, and Estates with work ranging from monthly management accounts and commentary to commercial business case development.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with proven experience in managing effective relationships in a business partnering role, able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, team leadership skills and be comfortable with working in a changing environment and managing change.
The post holder will report to the Head of Finance for Professional Services, and work closely with colleagues across the University and in particular colleagues within FICS.
