Who we're looking for

We're on the hunt for an Internal Communications Executive to assist in delivering effective communications and engaging campaigns across our community. You'll work closely with the Internal Communications Manager to plan, publish and maintain content covering a variety of topics.

You will also assist in managing our internal communications platform, The Exchange. Liaising with our community's Exchange Champions, you will encourage high-quality, self-generated content that meets the organisational objectives and standards.

As part of the Marketing team, you'll work closely with colleagues to develop and deliver a wide range of creative assets across the community.

Finally, you will assist the Internal Communications Manager to deliver a number of large scale, internal events such as 'The Big Sing Off' and our annual 'Senior Leadership Conference'.

We're big on getting the work/life balance right and a number of the marketing team already work remotely. We're open to this role being remote too, however, travel to our Bromsgrove office will be required along with occasionally visiting some of our regional offices.

Role Details

The Internal Comms Exec will work closely with the Internal Comms Manager to establish and maintain effective communications from the business to our colleagues and foster families.

You will communicate with our people through a variety of channels and assist in managing our internal comms platform, The Exchange. The Internal Comms Exec will also support the Internal Comms Manager, and other internal stakeholders to deliver a range of in-person and online events.

You also will assist in developing a comprehensive communications strategy and help to drive the Internal Comms function forward.

You will report directly to the Internal Communications Manager but will have support form the whole of the Marketing team.

The chosen candidate will have the following:

• Minimum of 1 years' experience working in a marketing or communications environment
• GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent in Maths and English
• An excellent level of written and verbal English
• Excellent attention to detail and proof-reading skills
• Experience in producing campaign performance reports
• Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas

Organisational skills of Internal Comms Executive

• Strong organisational skills and communication skills a must.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Screening and Assessment - The Social Worker may be required to assess and screen Veterans in the HUD/VASH program. The assessment is made by meeting with the Veteran, reviewing appropriate VA records, contacting appropriate VA and community providers, and collaborating with family members and supports as necessary.
Treatment Planning/Goal Setting - The Social Worker develops psychosocial treatment plans, actively involving the Veteran, family members, and/or significant others. This plan is developed in coordination with interdisciplinary team members, based on the psychosocial assessments, which include goals for clinical treatment.
Referrals to Service Providers - Throughout the course of the Veteran's participation in the HUD/VASH program, the Social Worker will provide appropriate information and referrals to VA and community resources for the Veteran and his/her family.
Resource Development - The Social Worker is responsible for developing and maintaining a catalog of VA and community resources. The worker will meet with individual agencies to introduce the HUD/VASH program, and to develop positive working relationships to facilitate the referral process.
Outreach - The Social Worker performs regular outreach activities to area shelters and other community agencies serving homeless Veterans. The Social Worker conducts field interviews, assessments and makes referrals for appropriate services and care.
Advocacy - Each homeless Veteran has a number of obstacles that get in the way of maintaining permanent housing. The Social Worker's role is to advocate on behalf of the Veteran and work to break existing barriers to treatment.
Crisis Intervention - The incumbent is well skilled in providing crisis intervention. This includes crisis related to substance abuse, behavioral issues, loss of housing, and any other crisis situation.
Education/Health Promotion and Prevention - The Social Worker provide education related to VA and community resources, entitlements, and Advance Directives/Living Wills. The Social Worker will also provide education to the Veteran's family and children.
Coordination of Non-Institutional and Institutional Services -The Social Worker is responsible for the coordination of VA and non-VA services and programs, including inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment, mental health, medical services, and in-home services.
Supportive Counseling- As part of the HUD/VASH program, each Veteran will receive supported counseling on an individual and group basis.
Administrative Responsibilities- The Social Worker is responsible for record keeping, data collection, monitoring of patient and program indicators, performance measurements and organization of program procedures.
Evaluation, Education, Supervision, Coaching and Mentoring- The Social Worker will continually monitor and assess the program for best practices and maximum efficiency.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

- Work with local teams to identify new and existing opportunities using robust employer data to target prospective local and regional employers
- Increase the number of employers who choose to work with Pluss to recruit their workforce by building positive relationships underpinned by a high-quality responsive service which exceeds expectations
- Ensure information on vacancies is communicated promptly to the operations teams whilst adhering to specified processes
- Maintain an employer contact database and keep accurate employer records

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

- Business to business sales, marketing, networking
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working with external senior managers in an account management capacity
- Working in a performance target driven environment e.g. recruitment consultant, sales representatives

Desirable:

- Knowledge of employment legislation governing recruitment practices
- Administration or delivery of recruitment and assessment processes
- Knowledge of social media, utilised for networking and lead generation
- Ability to sell a range of services to match the needs of internal and external customers
- Working in recruitment, publicly funded services or other similar sectors

To undertake teaching of nursing on Pharmacology and Medicines Management / Optimisation teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels across a range of professional programmes and to a wide range of students and apprentices. 2. To undertake medical audio / copy typing duties, including outpatient letters to GPs, discharge summaries and other official correspondence. To accept enquiries from clinicians, GPs Health Service and Social Services personnel, other hospitals, voluntary agencies, patients and their relatives. Patient contact by telephone is an integral part of the role. To work using own initiative with minimal supervision, prioritising own workload in line with objectives of the department and consultant teams. To deal with all incoming correspondence, phone and email in an efficient and effective way. To liaise with other members of the secretarial / administration team in order to provide a co-ordinated and efficient secretarial service. To support the Directorate Management Team with the administration, tracking and validation of patients pathways to achieve the National 18-week Referral to Treatment (RTT) target. To liaise with patients, relatives and staff demonstrating sensitivity and maintaining professionalism at all times. To deal with any complaints, problems or issues in a sensitive way, escalating to clinicians / management as appropriate. Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times, complying with the Data Protection Act, Information Governance and other Trust / Departmental Policies. To assist in providing cover for other secretaries in the Medical Directorate to ensure continuity of service to Consultant, medical staff, service users and patients. To undertake any other duties as may be required / appropriate by the Directorate Management Team.
