About the Role


A vacancy has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Environmental Health Professional to work in our food and health & safety team (Commercial Team), or an Environmental Health graduate who wishes to complete their portfolio.



You will hold a degree or a diploma in Environmental Health or a related subject or have significant experience in environmental health food and safety regulation and be able to meet the competencies for authorised Food Officers in accordance with the Food Law Code of Practice.

We have opportunities to join our Property Licensing and Private Sector Housing Standards Team.



The main work will involve investigating and inspecting of private sector housing, this will include houses in multiple occupation. This may involve taking enforcement action and, preparing cases for enforcement action and instigating legal proceedings. - Project Implementation: Work with the Group Payroll Manager on onboarding new schools and colleges on iTrent, resolving technical issues, and implementing payroll projects.
- Pension Administration: Handle the administration of LGPS, TPS, and NEST pension schemes, including member changes and year-end returns.

Main Duties:

- Time and Expense Claims: Monitor and review claims to ensure compliance with internal policies and legislation.
- Payroll Processing: Use your thorough knowledge of iTrent to process payroll accurately, handle starters, leavers, and salary amendments, and manage occupational and statutory payments.
- Pension Management: Oversee auto-enrolment and qualifying pension schemes, process pension assessments, and handle opt-ins and opt-outs efficiently.
- Data Management: Monitor payroll mailbox/service desk, respond to queries, reconcile pay period end reports, and ensure accuracy in all payroll data.
- Compliance: Stay updated with new payroll and pension legislation, maintain confidentiality, and ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act.

General Duties:
This role is adaptable to the evolving needs of the College Group and the Multi Academy Trust. You will be expected to work flexibly and may be assigned additional duties as required.

As a Step 3 Senior Team Lead you will manage and lead a team of Step 3 Team Leaders and directly support the Step 3 Service Manager with leading the team, facilitating meetings, and coordinating service improvements such as champion roles. This new and exciting role will also focus on supporting and developing the Step 3 Trainee and Preceptorship elements within the service.
