Senior Regulatory Affairs Associate EU

This well-known biopharmaceutical company is looking for an experienced Senior Regulatory Affairs Associate EU to join the team on a contracting basis. This is a 12-month contract job with scope for extension. This contract job is remote with the exception of meeting once per month in Cambridge or Uxbridge offices.

Your new role

As Senior Regulatory Affairs Associate EU, you will support a Regulatory Affairs Lead with assigned projects and products in order to execute the regional regulatory strategy and regional regulatory plans.
As Senior Regulatory Affairs Associate EU you will prepare supportive documentation for regulatory deliverables, including the management of clinical trial applications. This contract job is focussed on Clinical Trial activities; initial applications, substantial modifications, end of trial reports, compiling documents and some archiving activities.

Senior Brokerage Officer needed in East London

The rate is £22.36ph PAYE

This is a temporary role

The reference number is: RQ1410332

The successful candidate will directly line manage 3 brokerage officer and 2 assistants. They will also cover for the second senior during holidays and also the Team Leader when required. MOSAIC is the main system used and a new E-Brokerage system will be slowly introduced. The successful candidate will have some brokerage and line management experience.

The Opportunity

The role of an Originator is to provide support to the Principal Originators and Head of Structured Origination in defining the company approach to wholesale electricity markets, revenue models and corporate/utility off-takers.

You will help define optimum route-to-market and revenue management strategies and execute them, leveraging on a deep knowledge of electricity trading and commercial structuring.

The Originator supports the creation of opportunities for revenue generation and budget certainty as well as negotiating contracts to underpin investment decisions and which lead to the construction of pipeline assets. The role provides expertise to support our UK and Irish commercial efforts and market insight to identify new opportunities.

What you’ll be doing.
A key challenge for this role is to successfully secure route to market contracts in highly competitive tender processes run by third parties, in order to support the business’ growth objectives.
Other key areas of focus are to build and maintain productive working relationships with development teams to support our growth objectives and provide hedging analysis with recommendations to effectively manage our merchant exposures.


- Originate new business opportunities, for example through partnerships and corporate and utility off-takers.
- Monitor, influence and report to senior stakeholders on opportunities, policy and regulatory developments.
- Negotiate contractual terms with third parties and EDF Energy’s Energy Business Solutions as well as engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to secure deals.
- Contribute to Origination’s route to market strategy which includes the Contracts for Difference auction and identify value opportunities across the business.
- Support in defining, setting and executing the hedging strategy for merchant exposures of the operational portfolio.
- Monitor and analyse the market, supported by attending industry events and building strong networks.
- Support the business by providing commercial, strategic and analytical advice to support the UK and Irish businesses.


What do you need to be great at this role?As our Originator you will provide knowledge of demand, price and generation risks, risk management (hedging products and strategies) and market fundamentals.

You will also have:


- Knowledge of the UK energy market, corporate sustainability needs and renewable energy.
- Knowledge of wholesale energy markets, regulatory frameworks and energy contract structures
- Knowledge of hedging mechanisms and products.
- Experience of originating and negotiating contracts with end users, ideally including corporates, or specifically negotiating PPAs and other route to market contracts
- Graduate or Masters degree in a quantitative discipline or ability to demonstrate commensurate experience.

Your new job working as a Senior Corporate Account Handler will be working in the Corporate Commercial department for a Lloyd's Broker who have been established for over 50 years. Your new Brokers have offices in over 100 countries and currently collaborate as a powerful international team comprised of 18,000 employees. You will be joining a large team of 28 that is split into smaller teams who love to collaborate and support one another and celebrate each other's successes. Due to growth within their City based Corporate Commercial team a permanent job for a Senior Corporate Account Handler has arisen with the option of hybrid working. 
Your new role
Your new job working as a Senior Corporate Account Handler means you will be liaising with Account Executives and client Directors to help their team deliver excellent service for customer insurance needs. This includes handling renewals, mid-term changes, and providing professional advice to corporate clients. You will be responsible for acquiring renewal terms and deliver or assist in presenting to the client, undertake market exercise to establish the most competitive terms available and issue renewal documentation in line with contract certainty. Liaise with the Client Director/Account Executive to ensure an appropriate strategy for renewal, attend client meetings and undertake market exercise to establish the most competitive terms available. Other duties will include producing any documentation and make sure premiums are collected prior to the commencement of cover. Use of Acturis daily
What you'll need to succeed
Your experience working as an Account handler dealing with Corporate risks with working knowledge of all main classes of General Insurance as well as
Commercial insurance experience will contribute to your success in securing this role.
You will be confident and have good attention to detail, as well as having good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook E-mail systems and be able to process work quickly and meet deadlines. You will need excellent client service skills with the ability to gather and analyse information from the client and able to persuade and influence others. Prior knowledge/experience of the Acturis computer system would be preferable. It would also be desirable for the successful candidate to be CERT CII or DIP CII qualified or equivalent or have evidence to show they are making good progress towards it and or be willing to progress towards professional qualifications.
