We are looking for an experienced and qualified officer to lead, supervise and be responsible for our Environmental Protection team covering Noise, Air Quality, Contaminated Land, permitted processes, planning consultations and public health matters.

You will need to be highly motivated and able to work independently with your own small caseload. You will have the ability to manage and lead a team, developing relevant policies and procedures to ensure quality services are delivered.

The post holder will act as a lead professional for the Environmental Protection Team, providing support to officers, carrying out complex cases or investigations and provide a link with other teams to achieve positive outcomes for customers.

You must be a team player and have a proactive can do approach. You should also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to use the full remit of legislation in a balanced way. You must demonstrate competency, knowledge and expertise in all aspects of Environmental Protection functions with recent experience of working in a Local Authority enforcement role.

You will provide a specialist clinical pharmacy service to the oncology and clinical haematology specialties, working closely with the Specialist Clinical Pharmacists and other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care. In this exciting post you will rotate through the cancer service and gain exposure to a wide range of sub-specialties. These include oncology, haematology, palliative care, specialist admissions, bone marrow transplant and CAR-T. This is a key leadership role within the Institute of Nursing and Midwifery Care Excellence, supporting and enabling the Assistant Director of Nursing and Midwifery (R&I) and Clinical Lead for Research and Innovation in relation to research and innovation activity. Who we're looking for: You will be an experienced cardiac nurse in all cardiac areas including structural work, ideally with previous senior experience. Although we will consider someone stepping up into a senior post who holds the right skills and experience. Current NMC registration with no restrictions on practice At least 3 years experience within a cardiac catheter lab scrubbing for routine and complex cardiology procedures including EPS ablation. Be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of patients in your care. Ensure a high standard of clinical care for the patients under your management. Accept sole clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients and organise this effectively and efficiently with regard to clinical priorities and use of time. Undertake the specialist and comprehensive assessment of patients referred from a variety of sources, including those with a complex presentation, using investigative and analytical skills Formulate individualised management and treatment plans, using clinical reasoning, and utilising a wide range of advanced treatment skills and options to formulate a specialised programme of care in conjunction with the patient and carers Plan a care programme for individual patients in conjunction with other professional staff within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) Provide specialist clinical expertise to colleagues within the team and referrers to the service Communicate effectively with patients and carers to maximise rehabilitation potential and ensure understanding of condition Communication skills of persuasion, motivation and explanation to encourage patients to undertake their treatment programme Use verbal and non-verbal communication skills to gain informed consent with patients where there will often be barriers to effective communication. Assess capacity, gain valid informed consent and have the ability to work within a legal framework with patients who may lack capacity to consent to treatment
