An opportunity has arisen for two senior clinicians to join the new NELFT Dialectical Behavioural Therapy for Adolescents (DBT-A) service. This is part of an exciting expansion of CAMHS specialist services within NCEL that align closely to national, regional and local health and care goals and objectives. The role is a 1-year fixed term opportunity (or possible secondment) with the aim of securing further extension into a permanent role with the successful implementation of the service. The post holders will work closely with the Principal DBT Therapist, leadership team, clinicians and managers across Tier 4 units, CAMHS and crisis teams, the NCEL Provider collaborative and other stakeholders.

The post holders will be responsible for assessing, managing, planning, and delivering care to their allocated patients, maintaining professional and legal accountability. They will support their peers, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and supervise pre-registration students. A commitment to collaborative working is essential, with a focus on actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals and agencies.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring adherence to the DBT model within the service. The NCEL DBT service offers specialised DBT assessments and interventions to young people and their families referred by CAMHS services. The service is expected to coordinate with CAMHS teams to ensure clear transitions for young people entering or leaving the DBT service and, when appropriate, to support transitions to Adult Services. The post holders will deliver a highly specialised clinical psychology service to these young people and their families who require DBT, manage their own caseload, and provide specialist supervision, consultation, and training to team members. As part of the multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will contribute to the team’s clinical work and be accountable to theCAMHS Strategic Clinical Lead for London.

A Vacancy at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.


The Department of Haematology at UCLH is seeking a Specialist Registrar-level (ST3+) Senior Clinical Fellow to join our team in February 2025.

UCLH is one of the largest haematology units in Europe with >100 dedicated inpatient beds in a purpose-built building which opened in 2022. The successful applicant will join a team of >30 haematology registrars who are supervised by >50 haematology consultants covering the entire range of malignant, non-malignant and experimental haematology. The postholder will also participate in the wider haematology on call rota and gain experience in the management of haematological emergencies and liaison haematology.

Applicants should have completed SHO-level training (minimum 4 years postgraduate clinical experience) in internal medicine and/or be an established haematology registrar. The posts are suitable for post-IMT trainees who wish to gain haematology experience in order to secure an NTN, or for existing haematology trainees to gain a consultant post.

- current UK trainees who are looking to undertake an OOPE or OOPT to broaden their clinical experience.
- suitably qualified haematology doctors who are looking to pursue GMC specialist registration via the CESR route

Senior clinical fellow posts cover both inpatients, day care and outpatients on a rotational basis, with numerous opportunities to develop sub-specialty interests. Available posts include bone marrow transplantation, CAR T-cell therapy, haemoglobinopathies, clotting, TTP, laboratory haematology and malignant haematology. The duration of the post is 6 months in the first instance which is extendable to a year or more. The fellow will take part in the on-call rota with prospective cover. The post holder must be flexible and prepared to cover the clinical needs of the service on a day-to-day basis.

The training and education opportunities are identical to those of haematology SpRs-in-training and we will support relevant courses for candidate’s education and training in discussion with their consultant educational supervisor. The Senior Analyst (GSTT/KCH) role is a new position that will unify policies, procedures, practices and skilled teams initially across Guy's and St Thomas' and King's College Hospital NHS Trusts. As a senior member of the Clinical Systems Team the post holder is responsible for delivering and developing a share of the Epic and other software systems' configuration build. This role operates on a hybrid model with a time split between on-site and remote working, with the main base at the Education Centre in Waterloo. Additionally, it will require travel between Guy's and St Thomas', King's College Hospital, and Royal Brompton and Harefield sites.

• Managing, co-ordinating and leading the configuration requirements and ensure build is delivered in a timely way.

As a senior member of the IT Clinical Systems Team the post holder is responsible for delivering and developing a share of the Epic and other software systems’ configuration build and; for supporting non-Epic systems within their team, working with Medical Device Integration (MDI), GSTT, KCH and ITCS technology colleagues and; overseeing the work of the Band 6 Analyst. In particular it will involve:


• Being a link person between the ITCS team, system users and other stakeholders and to help manage and prioritise calls and requests to the team;
• Helping to direct careful planning for systems implementation and the roll-out process, taking into account all dependent variables and liaise with all affected teams, staff and departments;
• Being a member of the multi-disciplinary configuration team, ensuring a consistent approach to the configuration and integration between the Epic modules and across the wider team;
• Managing, co-ordinating and leading the configuration requirements and ensure build is delivered in a timely way.
• Being a key member of a designated Configuration and Application team ensuring design integrity
• Analysing and suggest ways to improve current workflows and working practices;

• Actively monitoring the systems on a regular basis for user or system errors or problems, working with the Band 6 Support Analyst;
• Participating in regular process review, feedback and system development meetings both within the ITCS team and with external stakeholders;

• To assist in the delivery of the Trust’s EHR system.
