We are looking for a state registered clinical scientist, but welcome candidates with appropriate experience who could attain registration, via the equivalence route, within 3 years. You would be joining the team at a time of change, as we re-align to meet the challenges facing the Trust, support new digital technology, strengthen our interactions with clinical and technology stakeholders, and develop to provide a full range of scientific computing services.

You will work closely with the Head & Deputy Head of Clinical Scientific Computing as well as clinical scientists & analysts within Clinical Scientific Computing & other members of staff within Medical Physics. You will develop strong & productive working relationships with clinicians, scientists & clinical managers & also with staff in UCLH Digital Healthcare Technology & their commercial partners.

We have significant commitments to support clinical services in Radiotherapy, Proton Beam Therapy, Nuclear Medicine, Sterile Services, Neurophysiology & Women’s Health but have a key role in implementing & managing systems that cover many other clinical areas. You will be part of a specialist team providing some on-call support & extended hours support to Radiotherapy & Proton Beam Therapy.

You will use your organisational skills to manage projects involving multiple clinical, commercial & technical stakeholders, whilst also bringing your technical & scientific skills & your understanding of the regulatory requirements, risk & quality management to evaluate, specify, implement & manage clinical systems.

We have close links with UCL & are accredited by the National School of Healthcare Science to support trainees in Clinical Scientific Computing.

Balfour Beatty are looking for a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our Major Projects Team on the Old Oak Common Project in London.

HS2’s station construction partner, Balfour Beatty VINCI Systra joint venture (BBVS) are leading the construction of HS2’s new Old Oak Common Station. Set to be the best connected and largest new railway stations ever built in the UK, Old Oak Common will become one of the country’s most vital transport super hubs. The station will have 14 platforms, a mix of six high speed and eight conventional service platforms, with an 850m-long station box. It is expected to be one of the busiest railway stations in the country with high speed rail services to the midlands, Scotland and the North and access to central London and Heathrow via the Crossrail Elizabeth Line.

The Senior Health and Safety Advisor will provide risk-based assurance that the project is compliant with all HSES requirements and provide expert HSES technical advice, guidance, and support.

What you'll be doing

• Implement Business Unit strategy through visible leadership to drive the delivery of Safe at Heart.
• Provide project teams with expert HSW technical advice, guidance and support.
• Collaboratively engage with both internal & external customers and the supply chain to promote zero harm delivery.

Please refer to the job description for full details Duties and Responsibilities To prioritise and manage the workload of the Executive Directors, often working within tight timescales, prioritising tasks in line with organisational objectives, anticipating potential problems, and drawing the Executive Directors attention to the need to take timely action, where necessary.Provide personal assistance to the Executive Directors with regards to core elements of the business, attending some key meetings to provide support.Provide secretarial support at meetings as required. Prepare and ensure agendas, previous minutes and supporting materials are forwarded to respective parties in line with relevant time objectives.Take formal minutes where required.Make appropriate decisions in the absence of the Executive Directors, consulting with other senior staff as appropriate. Take personal responsibility, in the absence of the Executive Directors, for handling difficult issues and telephone calls, seeking advice as appropriate.Allocate and effectively manage work passed to other members of staff, ensuring deadlines are met, reassessing priorities, and refocusing the Executive Directors attention at times of sustained pressure.To cover the Executive Office between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, and any evening ICS meetings, on a rota system.
