What skills and experience we're looking for

An exciting position has arisen for an experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join The Golden Thread Alliance. The person appointed to this role will be part of our central team, working with children across the Trust to provide specialist support and advice.

We are looking for someone with experience working with children to support and develop their speech and language skills. The post holder will offer SALT assessments, create support plans, and provide advice and support to parents, carers and school staff. As the Senior Speech & Language Therapist, you will play a key role in creating, developing, and assessing the systems for speech and language across the Trust and developing the provision within our schools. This is a new role within the Trust so you would be able to take ownership of not only the role but also the systems for speech and language across our schools, alongside the School Improvement Partner for SEND.

This role is a permanent position, 32.5 hours per week term time only. The salary is within the Kent Range 10 £37,374 FTE, actual pro rata salary £27,758.60, based on 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.

• Experience in a retail environment, ideally in a team leader or supervisory role• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, to understand and translate customer requirements into product recommendations• Highly motivated with the drive to succeed and do a great job • Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality - happy to help both customers and colleagues• The ability to motivate and inspire colleagues to achieve the highest level of customer service• Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can be relied upon to work as an individual at all times• Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our industry• Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required• Ideally lives within a close proximity to the store to be able to respond to potential alarm calls out of hours• An interest in our industry would be advantageous but not essential as product training will be given

The post holders will join a supportive and diverse psychological therapies service with 6 clinicians from clinical psychology, CBT psychotherapy, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, and trainees. We have strong links with the South Thames Clinical Psychology Training Centre in Tunbridge Wells, attached to Christ Church University in Canterbury and our service is in the process of offering an annual rotation of both first and third-year trainees on placement who join our service. These links also provide access to a wide variety of post-qualification training courses and events. deliver an effective service you must be able to travel within the locality promptly. A car is not essential but desirable. Train and bus routes to and from Dartford are within walking distance.
