Your new role
As a Semi-Senior Accountant within this firm, you will support clients with the preparation of yearly statutory accounts, communicating regularly with customers about their business activities and with other departments to coordinate all aspects of the accounts' preparation process in a timely manner. You will use a range of accounting software to maintain financial records for your clients. Through excellent communication and service delivery, you will develop effective relationships with clients and will collaborate with colleagues, communicating regularly with managers and directors. The ideal candidate for this role will be capable of managing more complex accounts preparation activities and will review the work of more junior members of the team.


What you'll need to succeed
The right candidate for this role will have gained experience preparing year-end accounts for clients from start to finish within an accountancy practice and will now be seeking the opportunity to step up to more complex work. You will ideally be AAT Qualified and/or part way through ACA or ACCA and will be offered fully funded study support to enable you to continue with your exams. Excellent systems skills (using a range of accounting packages such as Xero, Quickbooks, Receiptbank) and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues will also be key.

As A Senior Network Technician for Cadent, you will provide support for our Integrated Security Solution system, you will be collaborating with our Energy Control Centre and Technical Security Engineers to destermine site access for all aspects of work and attendance as well as designing and driving key improvement initiatives.




Key Responsibilities



- Servicing, maintaining and asset replacing (installing) various security disciplines on the Cadent estate. This will include but not limited to, monitored Closed Circuit television, both analogue and digital, centrally managed access control systems, Intercom, Monitored Pulse Fence (MPF), acoustic fence and intruder alarm, security white and infra-red lighting, CCTV IP Network Infrastructure.
- Developing, implementing & managing safe working practices, maintenance procedures, preventative maintenance plans & engineering standards & specifications.
- Providing support throughout the UK at our remote locations. Working alongside support teams, you will provide key interface between Integrated Security Solution team, site operations and our specialist contractors.
- Supporting with associated outsourced Service Providers’ performance against agreed Service Levels.
- Supporting the ISS team as part of an on-call 24x7x365 rota.
- Providing technical assurance for the services, ensuring Change Management Process is adhered to and Changes are technically validated to protect live service.

- Host 3rd line specialist contactors on site visits and provide sensible monitoring of the work activity throughout the entire works and be responsible for the verification of the work against the task. Skills and Experience



- A minimum of 3 years in the electronic security industry with good working knowledge of CCTV and integrated Security systems.
- Experience of installation or servicing of CCTV, Access control, intruder and door, gate entry systems is required.
- Approved Electrician and/or City & Guilds 236 Pt 1 and 2 in Electrical Installation and maintenance or equivalent desirable and will be expected to be or working towards, BS2382 BS18th edition wiring regulations.
- SCO 1,2, & 5 & GAS SHEA certified, or working towards
- Full UK driving licence.
- Able to read prepared electrical plans and technical sketches as well as identify from a drawing, the location of equipment and services on site that you will be working on and install service and repair systems in accordance with information provided, and record changes to and the location of equipment on the installation drawings and update the required asset registers.
- Experience of supporting mission critical systems, with good knowledge of system technologies, CCTV, Access control systems, monitoring tools, processes, and incident handling in a 24x7x365 support environment.
- HNC/SNVQ L3 or equivalent operational experience in network engineering techniques supported by relevant training or qualifications.
- Holds EUSR Gas Safety Passport.

This will include cuff deflation, assessment of Passy Muir valve use and work as part of the MDT to create weaning plans. To develop a high level of clinical knowledge in the specialist field of critical care providing advice, second opinions and joint management with colleagues in the Trust. The postholder will be willing to develop a specialist knowledge of dysphagia rehabilitation with this client group. To develop a high level of knowledge in the field of voice disorders and structural dysphagia providing advice and second opinions to colleagues within the trust; this may be as a result of intubation or critical care stay. To implement training related to specialist area to colleagues in the department/hospital/other Trusts. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of several of the R&D clinical research studies and teams. The post holder will be supporting the safe conduct of research in accordance with the regulatory and legal frameworks relating to the planning, undertaking and closure of research studies providing assurance that the rights and well being of trial participants are protected.

Excellent support from the close-knit management team will be provided including a comprehensive induction package and the opportunity to really develop as a manager and leader of a patient focused, quality driven, cutting-edge service.

The post holder will be instrumental in implementing team objectives to enhance the performance and development of the research teams whilst providing guidance, education, leadership and co-ordinating the portfolio of research studies and clinical trials to deliver high quality research and clinical care.

Clinical

• Work autonomously to manage a caseload of patients acting as a professional to ensure care to patients is delivered according to Trust policies and procedures and the research protocol delivery high standards and continuity of clinical care for study participants.

• Take relevant samples as required by the study protocol such as blood samples, package and dispatch as defined. Ensure safe and appropriate storage of specimens in accordance with trial protocols and regulatory / Trust guidance.

• Ensure all team members undertake relevant training and assessment of competence, working within scope of professional practice prior to undertaking any clinical procedures / administration of treatments associated with the research treatment regimes.

• Ensure the safe administration of treatments and drugs that are given within the context of a clinical trial by all team members.

• Ensure staff monitor treatment toxicity/side effects reporting to the relevant personnel, recording as required assisting in any required changes to treatment as required by the protocol

• Ensure all staff record and report adverse /serious adverse events as classified in the study protocol criteria which occur whilst patient is in the clinical trial e.g. hospital admission since last study visit

• Ensure accurate documentation of patient’s events in nursing/medical notes and study specific case report forms.

• Provide ongoing information, education and support to patients (and their significant others) regarding clinical trials and their care.




Research and Portfolio Management

• Lead in the delivery of studies within the relevant specialities ensuring they meet the requirements with regards to the Department of Health’s Research Governance Framework for Health and Social Care and the EU Clinical Trials legislation by implementing quality systems.

• Assist in the review of study protocols and contribute to the feasibility/study selection process, advising on safety, regulatory and logistical issues.

The Trauma & Orthopaedic service at UHCW is comprehensive, spanning 79 beds across three wards. Our facilities cater to patients with simple to major traumatic injuries in the trauma unit and general to complex elective day case surgery across UHCW and St Cross Hospital.

As a level one major trauma centre, UHCW offers round-the-clock emergency and trauma surgery, welcoming polytrauma patients from the surrounding region. The department is equipped with a tertiary referral centre, a dedicated major trauma enhanced care unit, and a hyper-acute hip fracture unit. Moreover, UHCW houses a total of 33 theatres spread across Coventry and Rugby sites, featuring state-of-the-art Robotic surgery to address cases that were once deemed inoperable.

The Department of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery provides specialist musculoskeletal care and often collaborates with the Rheumatology, Physiotherapy, Radiology, and Paediatrics departments to ensure patients are well supported. In this role, post holder will have the opportunity to work with over 30 Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultants, supported by Clinical Fellows, Specialist Registrars, Associate Specialists, and Staff grades, including sub-specialties within orthopaedics such as complex trauma, revision arthroplasty, plastics and hand and wrist.

The primary role for the post holder is to lead on the management and provision of a comprehensive, high quality pharmacy service to Trauma and orthopaedics wards and specialties. Post holder will also support our pharmacy clinical services improvement projects such as development of pre-op assessment service, day case pathways at UHCW and St Cross hospital and Community diagnostic centre development (CDC). The role will be supported by band 6 and 7 rotational pharmacist, which post holder will provide supervision for their development.
• Provide specialist clinical pharmacy service to T&O inpatient and elective pathway, major/emergency trauma services which including MTECU and St Cross surgical oversight
• Work closely with T&O team, theatres, surgical specialties, critical care and associated professional teams to improve the pharmaceutical care of patients
• Be responsible for all aspects of Medicines Management and Optimisation within their areas
• To work closely with and the Intensive Care and Surgical Pharmacists as needed, having a good working knowledge of these areas

We are in the fortunate position, after service investment, to advertise for an exceptional Pharmacist to join our friendly and progressive pharmacy team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. 4.Ensure patients discharge medication is accurate and dispensed in advance of the patients’ discharge, by recording the patients’ medication on the GP discharge prescription and conveying to the GP all necessary information concerning the patient medication to ensure a safe transfer to primary care. Reducing pharmaceutical waste by utilising patients own drugs in the discharge process.

5. Within your designated clinical area of responsibility, ensure best practice and clinical governance is applied to drug therapy by providing medical and nursing staff with:

a. Appropriate drug information

b. Support in writing clinical guidelines

c. Participation in and delivery of education and training

d. Undertaking clinical audit and practice research

e. Ensuring procedures for the introduction and monitoring of new drugs are followed

f. Monitoring of drug expenditure and provision of advice on the financial implications of changes in practice

g. Train, and act as role model to pharmacy staff allocated to specialty

h. Liaise with community medical nursing and pharmacy staff to ensure effective and seamless care

6.Provide clinical pharmacy and prescribing services within the Trust as an independent prescriber (as required).

7.Support the Associate Director of Pharmacy – Cancer, Technical Services and Clinical Trials in achieving long-term objectives of the department and its strategic direction including devising and reviewing SOPs and guidelines as needed.

8.Be responsible for ensuring that the appraisal and personal reviews for designated pharmacy staff are completed. Participate in personal review and working to achieve set objectives. Participate in selection and recruitment of staff.

9. To lead, participate in and coordinate the competency based assessments and training of junior staff within the team. To ensure areas of concern in the clinical and operational performance of staff within the team are identified and reported to the Associate Director of Pharmacy – Cancer, Technical Services and Clinical Trials. To participate in performance management of members of the team as needed

10. Work flexibly across all of the Pharmacy departments, covering the work of colleagues during peak periods or absence.

11. Participate in weekend and Bank Holiday working as may be required.

12. Undertake any other duties as required by the Director of Pharmacy in accordance with the grade and nature of the post
