Are you looking for a rewarding and challenging administrative position? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Case Administrator to join our Offender Management Unit (OMU) team.
Key Purpose
This role acts as a Senior Case Administrator reporting direct to the Hub Manager. The role involves the checking and compilation of various mandated processes within the OMU department.
The job holder will hold responsibility for checking and ensuring compliance with Sentence Calculation in line with the Policy/framework.
This is a non-operational job with no line management responsibilities. As per within the Policy/framework around sentence calculations, the decision made is to ensure there are further assurances in place for the checking and compliance of sentence calculations.
Structure & Reporting Relationship
Under the organisational structure the OMU function comes under the Assistant Director of Reducing Reoffending and the Assistant Director of Head of Offender Management Services.
As the Senior Case Administrator you will report directly to the OMU Hub Manager and will be responsible for checking and ensuring compliance with Sentence Calculation and other Policy Frameworks, such as HDC.
Key Accountabilities
- Complete 2 day checks (or be working towards this)
- Ensure completion of mandatory daily task list for the Admin team. Ensure all release and associated paperwork has been completed by the team.
- Delegation of tasks where appropriate.
- Correspond with relevant stakeholders and agencies to ensure that they are aware of information and that it is adequately shared e.g. liaison with PPCS case managers, communication with Policy advisors.
- Act as specialist administrator and continue to develop skills and understanding of all processes. Lead on the assimilation of new processes or policy within the function.
- To assist with planning and delivery of training/resources within the dept.
- In conjunction with the Hub Manager to review new and existing process and provide specialist advice and consultation to Head of Department for and during discussions about new process and planning decisions.
- Report any trends and developing solutions for presentation to the Hub Manager.
- As senior administrator, work to deliver innovation and change.
- Ad hoc roles and responsibilities as required.
As the department evolves and further develops, some of these responsibilities may change.
Essential Qualification
Sentence Calculation trained at an Advanced level
Experience/knowledge in Custody work
Have worked within the specific custodial environment for 6months+
Confident in fulfilling the role
