The CPFT Talking Therapies service is required to provide a stepped care model of treatment for people mainly experiencing anxiety and depression in primary care. The post holder will work with the clinical lead and supervisors to be involved with: Ensuring clinical interventions are implemented in line with the latest NICE guidelines for psychological interventions. Protocols and arrangements are in place so that people can be stepped up and down to and from the service as required. Procedures are in place for operation of the service. Clinical governance arrangements are in place to cover all of the clinical activity. Staff are appropriately skilled and trained to deliver the service and to provide supervision. Supervision arrangements are in place for all elements of service delivery. Provide high intensity evidence based psychological interventions for some of the more complex cases referred to the team. Adhere to all clinical policies and procedures. Maintain high clinical standards in all aspects of the work. Provide clinical supervision in the service. Undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and to provide advice to other professions on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management in line with Trust and inter-agency policies and procedures, including work with clients deemed as vulnerable adults. Take special responsibility for the assessment of risk in relation to the presentation of clients with complex psychological needs, enabling other members of the service to assign them to the appropriate place on the care pathway. Communicate, in a highly skilled and sensitive manner, to clients, family carers and others as appropriate, information that may be contentious or highly distressing concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment plans of clients under their care. Produce reports on clients, in a timely manner, that convey the key findings of psychological assessment and formulation and treatment outcome in a way that does justice to the complexity of the problems described, but that are understandable to the recipients of the reports, including clients and referrers. Work in partnership with other disciplines and to maintain links with statutory and non-statutory agencies as appropriate.

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Clinical Fellow (Post CCT) in Neuro-Oncology Neurosurgery commencing from 07 August 2024 for 12 months.

The Neurosurgical Oncology Service at Addenbrooke’s provides a service for the entire adult and paediatric population of Cambridge and East Anglia region and beyond; all in all covering a population of approximately 2.5 million.

The post is suitable for a post-CCT trainee in Neurosurgery or equivalent, who wants to specialise in neurosurgical oncology. The successful candidate will work with the 4 neuro-oncology surgeons at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Experience will be gained in all neurosurgical oncology conditions, including awake craniotomy, fluorescence-guided surgery and brain mapping, determined by the clinical workload. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake research projects during the clinical fellowship period.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.

As the Senior ILS Engineer You will assist with the delivery of Supportability to a large Defence Contract, providing significant increase in survival for deployed UK Service Personnel. This is at the programme start and will permit the successful candidate to influence the design with the principles of ILS to increase the survivability for the UK Service Personnel deployed on operations.

Responsibilities will include:

• To undertake the Supportability tasks in accordance with Def Stan 00-600 and customer Requirements, or any other recognised ILS standards
• To author, develop and maintain ILS plans through to Customer acceptance and resulting implementation
• To substantially influence the design to optimise it in order to reduce TLC and increase supportability, recommending alternatives where appropriate
• To undertake Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) tasks in accordance with Def Stan 00-40 and customer requirements
• To identify areas of the product design which could impact on the Reliability or Maintainability of that product and to recommend alternatives to ensure R&M targets are attainable
• To populate the Logistic Support Analysis Record with the analysis carried out in accordance with Def Stan 00-600, ASD S3000L and customer specifications
• To provide support to the Bid Team in the creation of ILS components for tender proposals on other Contracts within the programme

You will use a Motivational Interviewing approach where you will act in partnership with children and their families to achieve sustainable change and improved outcomes for children. You will be supported in this by a multi-disciplinary team that includes adult mental health workers, drug and alcohol recovery workers, and adult domestic abuse workers, supported by our practice methods.

The Family Safeguarding South Team is a stable, highly motivated and very supportive team, that is strengths-based underpinned by relationship-based practice with clear aspirations to improve outcomes for children, young people and families in South Cambridgeshire. Temporary Senior QC Scientist - Clinical Laboratory

11 week assignment beginning early July

Monday-Friday

£15-18 per hour

Scope of the role:

Your responsibility is for the Quality Control of the specialist in-house and purchased reagents and consumables of a busy clinical laboratory.

Core duties:

• Working within quality control matrix and protocols to ensure the smooth operation of both routine QC and unique QC testing for the company's IVD product, as well as continuous improvement behaviours.

• Working closely with Tech Transfer and Product Development in order to oversee the QC approach and support with new and existing analytical methods in addition to helping out with validation and verification and transfer activities.

• Investigating and resolving any issues with availability or performance of reagents and consumables, including: root cause analysis, impact assessment and putting in place corrective and preventative actions.

• Taking responsibility for timely reagent and consumable testing and analysis according to the established SOPs in order to support the wider Lab Operations team.

Your background:

• BSc/MSc or equivalent in a Life Science discipline

• Proven laboratory experience working with biochemical or molecular assays in addition to demonstrable ability to troubleshoot issues which impact reagent performance

• It would be a strong benefit to have knowledge of NGS and molecular testing methods

• Good appreciation of the regulatory requirements for a clinical laboratory (ISO 15189) and IVD, ISO 13485

• Good written and verbal communication skills, and able to work effectively in a busy and demanding laboratory environment
