Support the Reward Lead in coordinating, coaching and overseeing the project team. Enabling the team to be proactive and provide consistent advice across services. Support the delivery of a complex, large-scale and contentious project.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively manage and take decisions in relation to salary supplements in line with the agreed policies and procedures.
Work in collaboration with the Senior HR Adviser to supervise Project Officers and Business Support colleagues, to provide a high performing Reward team, providing insight, advice, and solutions around all areas of the project.
Support the Reward Lead in coordinating and implementing the development of People and Culture policies within the Reward team.
Lead and drive the implementation of a colleague benefits package and recognition platform.
Monitor trends in pay and reward across the public and private sector, considering salary benchmarking across the region, monitoring how other councils are approaching ‘hard to fill or retain’ roles, making recommendations to influence decision making.
Facilitate colleague information sessions, roadshows, spotlights or other events.
Lead and facilitate analysis and reporting, including equalities, diversity and inclusion data to understand and influence business as usual approaches, and decision making across the area of responsibility.
Support the design of a package to coach, train and develop managers and enable them to support the implementation of the new reward strategy.

Qualifications:

Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
Advanced relevant professional qualification with clearly evidenced continuous professional development demonstrating an understanding of best practice and a broader commercial awareness.



Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Experience in supervising and coaching a team.
Experience in Local Government and unionised environment.
Experience of maintaining positive relations, providing complex advice and support to strategic stakeholders.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).

The Role

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing the commercial aspects of each development. This includes managing the costs for each site and ensuring that targets are met by managing and controlling the budgets and valuations. Senior Surveyors are typically allocated sites that are more complex by nature, whether this is due to the type of construction, the speed of construction, or whether it is a multi-phase site or a consortium site (shared infrastructure with another developer).

The Senior Quantity Surveyor reports to the Commercial Manager.

Principal accountabilities of the role include:

Produce draft budgets and site start budgets for each site allocated to the Quantity Surveyor.
Produce quarterly valuations and complete material ‘cost to complete’ exercises for each site the Quantity Surveyor is responsible for.
Produce sub-contract payments and final accounts, ensuring that the sub-contractor has signed these off.
Produce sub-contract orders, ensuring they are authorised by the authorised representative, together with all necessary documentation to comply with Group Commercial Policy.
Complete on-site measurements and assess payments to contractors.
Attend and contribute to various meetings, such as pre-order meetings, quarterly valuation meetings and project review meetings with senior management, construction team as well as external contractors.
Manage all sub-contract orders on site, meeting sub-contractors as and when required.
Maintain trade specifications.
Price customer extras and liaise with sales department as necessary.
Manage Professional Fees Budget.

To provide training to colleagues, multi-disciplinary team and staff working in educational settings.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced physiotherapist with a minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience. This fixed term, maternity cover post gives an excellent opportunity to gain experience in working as part of a specialised integrated therapy team delivering in-patient and out-patient care.

This role requires HCPC Registration

This presents an exciting opening to work with children with medical, musculoskeletal, neuro-developmental, orthopaedic and other conditions. The post includes assessment and intervention to children aged 0-19 years living in the Poole, Bournemouth and East Dorset areas.

Services are delivered in a variety of settings, including; paediatric wards and outpatient clinics across all University Hospitals Dorset Trust sites.

We work closely with the multi-disciplinary paediatric team and colleagues working in social care, health and education services. We are committed to delivering high quality services for the children and families we work with in a child friendly manner.

Applicants must be car driver. Applicants will be required to work weekends and late shifts and be on-call on a rota basis.

The main team site is currently based at Poole Hospital. As part of transformation plans the main team site will move to Bournemouth Hospital within the next few years. The team travels across all UHD sites as part of service provision and this will continue post transformation.

• To be part of a team of therapists providing a highly specialised Physiotherapy (PT) assessment, treatment and advice service to children, 0-16 years and their parents/carers referred to the service, covering Bournemouth, Poole and East Dorset.
• To work as a member of the MDTs providing in-patient and out-patient physiotherapy services to children with orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, respiratory, medical and neuro-developmental conditions or others which affect their physical performance.
• To be responsible for the clinical supervision and development of other members of the Paediatric Therapy Team and to be a clinical educator for undergraduate students.
• To provide advice and liaise with other professionals (e.g. consultants, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, orthotists) and disciplines (e.g. the community nursing team, Learning Disability Team, Occupational Therapists working in Social Care and Health, Education Staff etc.), as well as networking with therapists in other departments and NHS Trusts.
• To participate in continued professional development in order to support the development of the Paediatric Therapy service.
• To provide training to colleagues, multi-disciplinary team and staff working in educational settings.
