What you'll do

In this key role, you’ll be providing financial planning technical support to the Financial Planning Centre team and the advisors and assistants for all new and existing business transactions and queries, including calculations and project work. Your work will be critical in allowing us to deliver an exceptional service to our customers, as you make sure all aspects of the administration processes are delivered in accordance with agreed procedures and controls.

You’ll also be:

• Interpreting chargeable event calculations, suitability letters, client profiles and service selection forms to make sure that all new business processing is in-line with the client requirements
• Undertaking checking and oversight that the team have completed all necessary administration
• Providing training and upskilling any of the team members as and when required
• Making sure we comply with our regulatory obligations in relation to any complaints

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll need broad general knowledge of the financial services environment and related products. We’ll also expect you to be qualified to QCF level 4 and you’ll hold a CISI Investment Advice Diploma, a CII Diploma, or an Investment Management Certificate or equivalent.

You’ll also need:

• Experience in dealing with client requirements in relation to chargeable event calculations
• The ability to identify scenarios where further clarity is required from an adviser or assistant

This role will manage and support all of aspects of estates maintenance in relation to fire compliance. Your role will include:
• Assist with those delivering new capital developments, both operational and strategic, to ensure that the impact on existing fire related assets, installations and the design of new ones is appropriate and is optimal for the future performance of the estate.
• Be responsible for the planned (PPM) programmes for fire related installations, reviewing these regularly to ensure that statutory, mandatory and best practice is observed and that they are safe, efficient and effective in operation. Continually review what reactive maintenance is undertaken to assist in understanding asset performance.
• Initiate and implement solutions using new technology to address problematic maintenance issues.
• Participate in the 24-hour emergency ‘On Call Rota’ for all maintenance services.

We would like to invite interested applicants to apply for the post of clinical fellow working within the Paediatric Critical Care Service within Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.

Bristol Children’s PICU is a 18 bedded unit providing full intensive care services to the Southwest of England and cardiac surgical services to the Southwest and South Wales. BRHC is a designated paediatric trauma and burns centre with all specialties other than transplantation on site.

The post would involve clinical duties on PICU as well as possibly in paediatric high dependency and the regional transport service.

Applicants must have completed a minimum of two years training in their base specialty and may come from a Paediatric, Anaesthetic, Intensive Care or an Emergency Medicine background. This post is also suitable for more senior doctors who wish paediatric intensive care or transport experience.

Clinical The reception, diagnosis and emergency treatment of patients presenting to the adult Emergency Department. The successful candidate will be given supervision and support from senior medical staff to develop competency in the autonomous clinical management of these patients whilst ensuring patient safety. This post is based in the adult Emergency Department and no sessions will be undertaken in the paediatric Emergency Department. There is close liaison between ED and ICU at BRI. Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine (ST4+) –80:20Research

The senior clinical fellow posts include 80% time working in the adult emergency department and 20% paid time to develop in a specialist interest of the successful candidate’s choice. The posts are open as OOPT/E for EM HSTs and as stand-alone posts for non-trainees, and can be 100% EM if required. We are also open to SAS and Specialty Doctors if that suits.

The posts provide an ideal opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their own specialist interests while working in a busy inner city university hospital, with teaching and research responsibilities and are based in the adult side of the department.

Applicants should hold a relevant postgraduate qualification (MRCEM, MRCP, MRCS, FRCA or equivalent), and should be ST4 + or equivalent, having completed a minimum of 3 years in approved SHO posts (Post Foundation Medicine) or equivalent in relevant acute specialities including at least 1 year in Emergency Medicine.

The post will be a combination of service provision including out of hours and paid time to develop a specialist interest. The candidate to combine a job in Emergency Medicine with a 20% time allowance for a specialist interest. Specialist interests may include but are not limited to education (SIM/FOAMed), global health, expedition medicine, leadership and management, advanced airway management, research (with Professor Jonathon Benger), ultrasound, resuscitation, toxicology and paediatrics. A full-time substantive role, has arisen for a suitably qualified enthusiastic person to join our team of physiologists in the Sleep Unit within the Respiratory Medicine Department at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.

The ideal applicant will have a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification and have successfully completed ARTP Parts I & II or Practitioner level exam. They should also have relevant experience in sleep studies.

As well as carrying out clinical investigations the role will involve deputising for the Lead Clinical Physiologist, assisting with service development, providing supervision and ongoing education for other members of staff and students on placement within the department. You should have the ability to work flexibly, be able to work with your own initiative and enjoy working as part of a team. A keen eye for detail and accuracy is also required. You will be expected to work closely with other healthcare professionals, including respiratory consultants, nurses and physiotherapists.

This role is for 37.5 hours per week. There can be some flexibility regarding the exact hours to be worked, although there is the requirement for some evening (late shift) working.
• Responsible for providing an efficient and high quality service in the field of Sleep Studies and to provide the very best care and efficient treatment of patients during their stay in the department.
• To work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to ensure services meet changing healthcare needs.
