A Wrexham based Accountancy firm are seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a well-established firm, trading for over 50 years, continuing to provide genuine partnerships and delivering excellent service to clients. You will be a part of a general practice which supports a range of clients from varying industries. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team of accountancy professionals.

Your new role

As Account Assistant, you will be responsible for accounts preparation for a range of clients from varying industries. You will have bookkeeping duties and will assist with VAT returns. You will assist the firm in the management of their client base and will gain exposure to all aspects of accountancy, including audit and VAT. You will be a point of contact for clients and will be required to assist clients with general queries.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience handling accounts for a range of clients and strong IT skills with experience in accounts software. This candidate will need to be AAT or part ACCA qualified. If you are interested in broadening your experience, this will be an excellent opportunity.

This is a small group of independent Opticians which is very well established and has an excellent reputation in the area.

Optical Assistant - Role

• Family run independent Opticians which has been established for around 50 years
• Single testing room practices
• Specialises in high end eyewear and customer service
• Focus on quality rather than quantity
• Travels to international trade shows to handpick exclusive eyewear - Anne & Valentin, Theo, Face a Face
• Main lens supplier is Rodenstock but you have the freedom to work with most high quality suppliers
• Advanced dispensing equipment - DNEye scanner
• Working between two practices which are close by, mainly Carmarthen
• Working 4.5 days a week - 9am to 5.30pm midweek and 9am to 12.30pm on a Sat)
• One full weekend off a month
• Hourly rate of £11.50/hr
• Funding and support towards the Dispensing Optician course
• Free or very cheap parking available close by

Optical Assistant - Requirements

• 1+ Years experience of working as an Optical Assistant
• Interest is training to become a Dispensing Optician
• A passion for offering excellent service and amazing products
