This position involves a multi-grade career ladder. The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-07. At the GS-06 grade level, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence. You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-07. The Equipment & Facilities Services Assistant coordinates work priorities and takes policy direction from the Section Supervisors. Duties include but may not be limited to:

• Utilizes a comprehensive computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) such as MAXIMO, to provide system control, oversight, repair history, analysis and quality of the data entered, and documentation of historical, current, and future maintenance operations for the ongoing maintenance program.
• Ensures proper work order hierarchy exists to track planned and expended labor trade level and overall job level.
• Responds to inquiries regarding work order status, equipment maintenance history, trouble reports, and other preventive maintenance questions.
• Compiles, prepares and generates various reports (man hour reports, maintenance backlog reports, equipment downtime reports etc.), records, statistics, listings, charts and graphs, or other related information.
• Trains others in the proper use of CMMS, generating work orders, generating Preventive Maintenance (PM) work orders.
• Records and maintains information on safety certifications and inspections.
• Attends project weekly maintenance meetings, and provides information to Maintenance, Operations, Repair and Readiness (MORR) Supervisor and others as to status of current jobs, planned work, reasons for delays, etc.
• Prepares, executes, and/or tracks program specific information, such as workload data, incomplete work orders, and time and leave attendance.
• Serves as a credit card holder, making purchases from all fund control points assigned to Engineering Service to maintain the Building Service Equipment and associated inventory.
• Assists in formulating and coordinating the Engineering Budget through budget maintenance, purchasing and forecasting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Conduct thorough reviews of incoming military personnel actions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with military personnel, military dependents, and civilian employees to determine military action requirements.
• Ensure all essential personnel data recorded and submitted properly in a timely basis.
• Utilize automation equipment and various software programs to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve, and print a variety of documents for the organization.

• Incumbent participates in the implementation of operational policies related to eligibility, admission, length of stay, behavior standards for guests, cleanliness and state of repair of the facility.
• The incumbent may supervise volunteer activities. Incumbent participates in the execution of policies and procedures for the scheduling of available guestrooms, check-ins, check-outs, and orientation of guests upon arrival at the Fisher House.
• The incumbent will operate government vehicles, to include passenger cars and vans. Travel is generally local, and will include transporting Veterans and families who lodge at our Fisher House. The incumbent must pass initial and recurring physical exams to operate government vehicles to transport Veterans and families who lodge at our Fisher House.
• The incumbent implements Fisher House Manager's procedures, regulations, and guidelines concerning operations. Incumbent participates in activities that ensure the facility is in compliance with health, safety, privacy and sanitation rules and regulations. The

• Establishes and maintains various automated databases on program operations such as occupancy, referral sources, average length of stay, guest demographics, etc. Incumbent enters tracks and retrieves data pertaining to program census, equipment, donations, volunteer hours. etc.

• Incumbent is responsible for Volunteer Timekeeping which consists of maintaining master lists and summary timecards which are analyzed monthly and reported to Central Office.

• Incumbent also has the latitude to reassign volunteers as required and to counsel them concerning violation of rules and regulations. • Maintains the Fisher House General Post Fund and is responsible for ensuring all donations are presented to Voluntary Service for deposit in the General Post Fund.
• Incumbent is the purchase card holder for the General Post Fund and is responsible for all purchases and accounting.
• The incumbent reviews budget status and controls and makes necessary spending adjustments. Incumbent ensures funds are protected and accounted.
• Incumbent follows predetermined controls and procedures regarding acceptance of donation and gifts. Incumbent works closely with community donors through Voluntary Service in raising awareness of needed FH support.
• The incumbent develops information and communication for use on multiple platforms within and outside of Fisher House, including electronic, print and graphic design content to support the electronic

• Receives children, youth, parents, and other visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Answers telephones, ascertains nature of call, and directs caller to appropriate staff.
• Ensures parents, children, youth, and visitors properly sign into the program prior to passing the reception area of the facility. Monitors children’s departure to ensure only authorized individuals remove them from the building.
• Registers/terminates children/youth within the CYS program and/or waiting list database. Utilizes the Child and Youth Management System (CYMS) to record transactions for customers and to enter data into predefined categories for reports and tracking.
• Provides administrative support including mail preparation, copying, distribution, correspondence, memorandums, briefings, Daily Activity Reports, and other requirements for day-to-day operations.
• Articulates policies relating to patron fees, waiting lists, enrollments, terminations, and program events. Coordinates vacancies and reservations for the hourly care program as required.
