• • Provides customer service, information and support of Community Recreation programs and activities. Service to MWR customers includes, but is not limited to: checking patron eligibility to ensure authorized use of recreation facilities, resources and equipment, providing information about activities and program offerings, opening and closing facilities, ordering and restocking supplies, and preparing snack bar menu items or pre- packaged retail items.
  • Collects fees from customers associated with sales of tickets, retail and rental items, as well as from classes, trips, and various other Community Recreation programs using Point of Sales (POS) and computer programs.
  • Is accountable for the accuracy of daily sales transactions and completes a Daily Activity Report (DAR) at the end of every shift.
  • Assists in processing customer Internet registrations (i.e. Net Near You), initial log-ins and event registrations.
  • Checks Community Recreation equipment and resources in and out, collects any applicable rental fees, inventories items and completes inspections upon return.
  • Notifies supervisor or program lead if damage or loss has occurred.
  • Ensures all rental or check-out forms are properly completed and reservation and check- out procedures are followed.
  • Conducts inventory, maintains inventory controls and maintains equipment for proper accountability of program equipment and resources.
  • Assists in administering traditional and non-traditional workshops, clinics and events in a variety of leisure and recreation skills subject areas, in tune with offerings popular in the local area, including but not limited to camping, cycling, sailing, backpacking, canoeing, snow skiing, hiking and water sports.
  • Provides recreation experiences related to leisure skill sets in the form of day and weekend trips.
  • Assists in day-to-day administration of multiple programs to which assigned. Tasks include submission of event after-action reports, patronage data collection and entering program data.

• • Performs inventory of various types of equipment, retail goods, supplies and items deemed to have cash value.
  • Performs administrative duties, all of which are accomplished through a variety of means, including computer software programs which track resource inventories, patron usage/comments, and program standards metrics.
  • Assists with recruitment, training and scheduling of Community Recreation staff.
  • Actively supports the command statement on adherence to EEO principles and policies.
  • Assists in the planning, coordinating, publicizing, marketing and execution of MWR programs and special events.
  • Performs entertainment and promotion scheduling.
  • Assists in updating of electronic and multi-media support tools, as needed.
  • Seeks ways to promote MWR facilities and events through outreach opportunities on base.
  • Promotes use of recreational E-reading resources available through online MWR Library Program resources.
  • Develops working partnerships with both on base and off base organizations (park districts, forest preserve, clubs, special interest groups, etc.) to support and benefit MWR programs.
  • Performs community outreach to assist in the development of contacts.
  • Assists in the creation of professional proposals, execution of agreements and follow-up.
  • Researches and provides information and referral for a variety of recreational opportunities for individuals/families on and off the base.
  • Adheres to NAVMED P-5010 sanitation requirements.
  • Initiates and follows up on maintenance trouble calls to get equipment/facility issues resolved.
  • Provides support for Community Recreation event set up and break down.
  • Performs other duties as assigned as they pertains to the duties of this position.

Starting at $17.25 Per Hour (NF 2)

• Serve as primary project site employee responsible for the review and application of administrative guidelines necessary for project operations.
• Interpret and apply established regulations, procedures, and policies relative to administrative actions in the functions of budget, property management, personnel reports, records management, and clerical support.
• Serve as the focal point and liaison between the project office and/or District staff offices regarding financial, personnel, supply, and other administrative transactions.
• Provide advice and assistance to project staff in the resolution of a variety of administrative problems requiring the application of various guidelines.
• Operate a computer, peripheral equipment, and appropriate software to perform various computer operations in support of office operations such as producing reports, maintaining databases.
• Assists the Facility Manager with the annual training needs survey.
• Maintains office calendar of supervisor, visitors, meetings, vacations, inspections, and events.
• Assists the Facility Manager and Operations Branch Budget Analyst in preparing, reviewing, and compiling data to formulate the individual project annual budget.

Role responsibilities

* Dedicated to mentoring and supporting one pupil or else a small group of no more than six pupils
* Supporting the Classroom Teacher during lessons
* Reporting on pupils' progress and concerns, and liaising with other School staff to ensure pupils needs are met
* Supervision of pupils during non-classroom time including extra-curricular activities and school trips
* Assisting with lesson planning and classroom preparation
* Setting work where appropriate, and marking
* Building positive relationships with your pupil/s and driving interaction and positive learning outcomes

Requirements

* Have a strong basic education, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics, and sound IT skills.
* Previous experience in a similar role ie, Teaching Assistant
* Some previous experience of working with pupils with SEMH within an Educational setting
* Be experienced and confident enough to take additional responsibility in an area of school ie, Food Hygiene, Forest School, Lunchtimes, School Yoga etc..
* Experience of behaviour management and techniques
* Committed to professional development and willing to learn
* Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing work.

Democratic Services are a small team of professional officers who work at the heart of the council and the council's decision-making process.

Your new role

Reporting to the Senior Local Democracy Officer you will be joining a small professional team at the centre of the Council providing support to elected members and the democratic process.

You will use your excellent written and oral communication skills to provide effective and proactive support to the team. The work is varied, but at its core is providing administrative support to Democratic Services and to lead on the administration around schools' admissions appeal hearings.

Other duties will include undertaking research as required for scrutiny reviews and publishing agendas, supporting and minuting joint working and advisory bodies of the council, specifically the Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE) and the Twinning Advisory Group.

You will need to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the service and meetings are sometimes held outside core hours, so you must have the flexibility to work outside of usual office hours occasionally.

What you'll need to succeed

You will use your personable but professional approach to communicate effectively to diverse audiences, whilst being politically sensitive and ensuring that the appropriate level of confidentiality is maintained.

Your organisational skills will be required to set up meetings and to oversee the Council's petition scheme, FOI requests that the service receives and work around the annual councillor appointments to outside bodies.

Your IT skills will be required to update the Council's Modern.Gov committee system database, along with the council's Appeals Pro software in respect of school admissions appeals.

Your keen eye for detail and ability to work to deadlines will be required in supporting the schools' admissions appeal hearings process, the publication of meeting agendas and when writing minutes.

You will also provide administrative support to scrutiny panels, in respect of undertaking research and arranging for witnesses to attend meetings where required.
