Miners Court is Coastline’s extra care living facility in Redruth, providing an integrated care and support service that promotes independence for all our customers. As a Extra Care & Support Assistant you will work with our customers to flexibly to meet their individual needs, in accordance with their care and support plans. Day to day you will:

• Assist customers with all aspects of daily living and personal care including undressing, bathing and showering, and dental and mouth care; toileting, feeding, dressing and moving individuals according to agreed manual handling techniques (using the equipment/aids provided in the trained and agreed manner).
• Support customers with cleaning, cooking, shopping and attending appointments as required. • Administer medication as appropriate and accurately record this as instructed.

You will assist in their learning by offering companionship and support, whilst ensuring their physical, mental and emotional needs are met. You will be required to prepare learning materials under the supervision of the teachers and to participate in learning activities. The Learning Support Assistant will also be required to liaise with parents and staff with regards to the wellbeing of the young people.

This role involves working with young people who have complex behaviour associated with their learning needs. You will be trained to deescalate these situations and put in place pro-active strategies to avoid similar situations in future.

Our New Options School - Copper Fields School in Gunnislake, Cornwall. The school will have capacity for 60 pupils ages 4-16 years old and is due to open January 2025

Bar Assistant working hours:

As a Bar Assistant you will work 30 hours per week, including weekends with an hourly rate of £12.00 – Regardless of age!

Being a Bar Assistant:

The main function of a Bar Assistant will be to serve drinks to our hotel guests in the bar & restaurant whilst making sure all stock and equipment in the bar area is up to standard.
