You will be working for a well established M&E contractor based in Nottinghamshire, specialising in Air conditioning. Established over 30 years ago, this company services its customers with their air condition needs including with some clients service and maintenance.

Your new role
You will be working as a Junior Mechanical Estimator for a contractor specialising in Air Conditioning. You will be helping to assist and support the design/estimating team and in particular a mechanical estimator. They cater to a variety of clients which include large corporates and public sector equally. The project sizes and values can vary but typically more medium sized projects up to the value of £500k. You will be involved in supporting in both the pricing and tendering for these projects.

What you'll need to succeed
They are looking for someone with an understanding of Mechanical Building Services. This could be from a variety of backgrounds which could include; postgraduate studies in Building Services, working as a CAD Technician or working in another related Building services role. The Digital Health Records team undertake a wide range of duties including providing an admission service for some of our inpatient areas and a patient location enquiry service, handling calls from the general public and other organisations. The team manage the provision of both paper and digitised patient records at NUH and are responsible for the daily collection, preparation, scanning and quality assurance of patient health records.

This is an interesting opportunity for enthusiastic and conscientious individuals who have proven office administration and IT skills. The role requires excellent communication skills, and attention to detail is paramount. Post holders must be strong team players who can work efficiently with colleagues within the DHR team, whilst liaising with staff from all departments across the wider hospital.

Admissions – updating the Trusts IT systems with admission information.

Public Enquiries – handling telephone calls regarding the location of patients.

Release of information – provision of paper or digital case notes to NUH and other organisations.

Collection Service – collecting patient health records from wards and outpatient services and packaging the ‘Thin Files’ for either internal or onward offsite scanning.

Scanning patient records – onsite tracking and scanning of patient records deemed suitable for onsite scanning

Quality Assurance – checking a percentage of scanned records to meet the required BS10008 quality standards for availability, authenticity & integrity.
