Key duties and responsibilities:

• To support care staff to meet the needs of older people in a residential care setting, as required by legislation
• To provide personal care and support to service users
• To work flexibly within the care home setting, and where necessary in other settings, to promote the well-being of service users, and to work towards the maximisation of service users’ abilities
• To support the care team to assist service users to live as independent a life as possible
• To work within the reablement framework, which promotes the abilities of service users and where possible aims towards a regaining of skills

Experience of care preferable but not essential as full training will be provided. SSSC registration and willingness to complete SVQ2. Enhancements for weekends/public holidays/ unsociable hours/ night shifts.
