What is the job role?

We are looking to recruit an experienced and dedicated professional to provide 1:1 classroom support to one of our amazing Year 6 pupils who has Global development delay, Cerebral Palsy Quadriplegia, Dystonia and Epilepsy. This young man also uses AAC communication through eye-gaze and uses an electric wheelchair for mobility.

We are looking for an enthusatic and motivated person to join our dynamic Nuclear Medicine department at Coventry. The role will support the physics team; managing set-up and radioactive decontamination for molecular radiotherapies, managing the contamination monitor and gamma probe QC programme, assisting with radioactive waste audits and disposals, and lots more!

The department is going through an equipment refresh, with an Omni Legend 32 PET scanner due for installation in the next couple of months, a Starguide going in by the end of August and a third gamma camera being replaced in October. We undertake SIRT, Lu-177 Dota and PSMA moelcular radioatherapies, as well as I-131 ablation and thyrotoxicosis therapy. We're involved in several research projects, including a UK first trial of a mobile PET CT scanner in theatres for margin assessment during tumour excision.

Our friendly team comprises of administrative staff, nurses, technologists, radiographers, physicists, healthcare assistants and radiologists.

The post would suit physics graduates looking for experience prior to medical physics STP application.

1.Provide operational and scientific support to the Nuclear Medicine service.

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Perform work including activities which are non-routine. Assist with mechanical & electrical, building services, grounds & gardens maintenance within the hospital environment including plantrooms and ward areas, completing planned preventative maintenance dockets and defect dockets.

There will be a small amount of assistance with installation works with all trades as necessary.Undertaking maintenance, repairs, minor improvement and capital work across the Trust and its contracted customers as directed by management, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.The role would be principally based on the Trust site at the Caludon Centre.

To work as a maintenance team member for Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership Trust, providing highly skilled installations, maintenance, testing, repairs and improvements to building services and building fabric at the Caludon centre. The work will be both routine and/or non-routine in nature, requiring the post holder to be flexible, adaptable and proactive to provide a customer focused service.

• To work in accordance with the requirements of the Trust for assisting trade staff and carrying out

low grade mechanical, electrical and building tasks including Estates work to comply with National

Cleaning Standards.

• To be prepared to work in hazardous areas taking all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid

injury and prevent damage to equipment.

• To ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner following the appropriate risk assessment at

all times.

• Subject to an individual’s availability, work overtime to carry out emergency repairs as required by

management.

• To attend training courses as required to maintain the ability to carry out the role.

• Provide training, technical advice and support to new Maintenance Assistants.

• Uses all relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of

works
