Clinical 1. To work without direct supervision but under the supervision of the qualified staff in the performance of specific tasks for an individual or group of patients as part of their treatment programmes. This may include maintaining kitchen equipment, filing, dealing with telephone calls, arranging training, completing onward referrals. 10. Contribute to the team approach, providing accurate and relevant feedback to registered staff; participate in team discussions and meetings regarding care of service users. 11. To be actively involved in the communication of information regarding patients conditions and any other useful information to the multidisciplinary team 12. To communicate effectively with patients and carers. Communication skills of persuasion, motivations and explanation will be required. Barriers to communication may include loss of hearing, altered perception, pain and language disorders. 13. To be involved in the delivery, collection, cleaning and maintenance of occupational therapy equipment. 14. To complete delegated OT assessments. 15. To be responsible for an agreed caseload as required. 16. To demonstrate an understanding of occupational therapy and apply this using specific technical knowledge. 17. To assess risk and manage it effectively within clinical and community settings 18. Develop a therapeutic relationship with service users to encourage and maximise their interest and participation in therapeutic activity. 19. Organisational 1. To work in accordance with the relevant Occupational Therapy codes of conduct. 2. To be aware of and comply with trust and departmental policies and procedures. 3. We are seeking to employ an excellent Learning Support Assistant to join our highly effective team at Brunel Field Primary School This role involves a combination of in-class support, small group interventions, covering whole classes to provide PPA or other release time, as well as short term sickness cover for absent teachers. The successful candidate will be experienced across a range of year groups, enjoy variety in their work and be flexible on a day-to-day basis. While the following experience and qualifications are desirable, they are not essential:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Experience working within primary schools.
- Understanding of inclusive classroom practices.
- Awareness of strategies for supporting SEND pupils.
- Proven ability to support learning in groups or on a 1:1 basis.
- Hold the right to work in the UK.
- Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or be willing to process a new application).
- Provide two professional child-related references.
