A day in the life of a Warehouse Operative

As a Warehouse Operative, you will work as part of a dynamic and supportive team in what can be described as a fast-paced and target driven environment to ensure the stock entering or leaving the depot is accurate.

Our activities vary, so often, you may be required to work across multiple different workstreams such as Goods Inbound checks, Picker Accuracy audits and Load Adherence checks most of which require periods of manual handling.

Job activities

• Audit the Inbound accuracy of supplier deliveries on the GFR program.

What does the role involve?

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will prepare, restore and maintain areas and equipment for clinical treatments and investigations, as well as generally ensuring that the treatment environment is safe for patients, relatives and visitors.

This is an active role which involves extensive walking between patients throughout the clinic and some lifting responsibilities. However, we will provide regular training and guidance, so that you can develop your knowledge of company practice, procedures and quality management. Computer skills are essential, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with the team.

This is a full time role of 37.5 hours a week. Current days are working various shifts Monday to Saturday between 6.30am to 6.00pm. Please note it is possible in the future the shifts could move to 6.30am to 11.30pm.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Purchasing Admin Manager, the Purchasing Admin Assistant will be responsible for acquiring materials and goods necessary for the business. As part of a small purchasing team, you will work closely with suppliers to ensure they meet quality and delivery standards.

Reporting to the Trust Finance Manager, the Trust Finance Assistant will support the central finance function on behalf of the Academies within the Trust and the Trust budget holders. As the first point of contact for central teams, you will handle finance-related matters or direct enquiries to the appropriate colleagues. You will also be the primary contact for suppliers and customers, addressing queries and providing assistance where possible.

Daily tasks will be varied and may include the end to end purchasing process, supporting the wider finance team with monthly reconciliations, monitoring of expenditure to support the Finance Business Partner with monthly accounting and general finance administration.

This position lends itself to a balanced hybrid working approach that we would be happy to discuss at interview.

Location: Bridgwater
Salary: Circa £24,000 + annual bonus, and benefits
Contract: Permanent, full time

Role & Responsibilities


- Create purpose and direction around OGSM deliverables.
- Manage payroll and HR administration to include time and attendance and holiday recording.
- Support site people processes.
- Process PO’s and reconcile invoices.
- Understands the impact of own actions and others on achieving site/business OGSM and how it impacts the bottom line.
- Order uniforms & PPE – responsible for the managing stock control and distribution, cleaning and stationery products.
- Create and distribute reports for the site.
- Demonstrate health and safety leadership and commitment through embedding the Muller safety culture.
- General office and facilities management including the co-ordination of hospitality when required.
- Responsible for ensuring site communications are kept up to date i.e. notice boards / newsletter distribution.
- Communicate with all contacts in a professional manner.
- Act as first point of contact for the site, carrying out reception duties when required.
- Responsible for the investigation into credit control claims.
- Actively seeks out improvement opportunities within the workplace and converts to own projects.
- Assisting in planning and preparation of site events.
- Deputising may be required in instances such as annual leave.
- Assist with delivery of site inductions and induction processes.
