The trainee position will have the opportunity to undertake a rotational programme taking them through placements within the core Financial Services functions:

The Trainee Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner posts are training positions. Progression into a permanent contract is subject to passing the course. Successful candidates will be expected to travel to Derby University to complete their one year training, commencing but the position will be based in Nottingham City/County. This is a training role within the RISE Specialist Mental Health Services for Children and Young people. The post-holder will be enrolled in a graduate certificate or postgraduate certificate training delivering the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners. In the remaining part of the week they will work as a trainee in the service, under close supervision and regular course assessment of practice competence.

They will work within the limits of their experience and assessed competence for their stage of training:

· To use theory informed /psychologically informed interventions, aligned to cognitive-behavioural principles, based on the best evidence available, that address problems often experienced.

· To deliver low intensity cognitive behavioural approaches with children and adolescents with mild to moderate anxiety or depression.

And

· Parents of children experiencing anxiety disorders and/or behavioural difficulties.

· Preventative work within communities, supporting mental health promotion in community settings though psychoeducation, training, group work and supporting CYP/parent participation.

· Participate in the championing of ROMs within services under clinical supervision.
