You will be working as part of the Capital Services team to deliver a minor capital programme of delegated schemes, including the associated capital expenditure, planning issues, design service, project management, commissioning of consultant advice to the Trust stakeholders as well supporting the wider Estates and Facilities department with the management of the Trust’s Estate, assets and estate records.
Operating in policy guidelines and in accordance with standing financial orders and instructions.
The role will involve:
· Day to day operational arrangements relating to capital services including advice, design, project management from inception to completion.
· Delivery of day to day minor requests for additional works provided by our In-House help desk via existing contracted suppliers or through approved procurement routes.
· Day to day liaison with Trust staff, Departmental Managers and individuals from external NHS, Local Government and Private Sector agencies.
· Providing support to management, facilitating and monitoring the progress of projects or tasks with the Directorate representatives and working closely with the other corporate departments to facilitate a project or task delivery.
· Resolving minor problems independently and act as the first point of contact for enquiries from end users.
· Estates/Facilities record and information administration actions including but not limited to review and alteration of Building Plans, measured and building condition surveys, access surveys, building occupancy audits.

You will have:
It is expected that the post holder will be a recent graduate of a degree level / ONC / HNC or interested in working towards a degree / ONC / HNC and has theoretical knowledge of construction design and project management with minimum of one year of experience working in the UK design and construction sector.
Knowledge of surveying, construction project management.
Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and presentational skills.
Skills and ability to think creatively with positive and enabling attitude.
Experience in operating and using Microsoft packages, Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point etc. is essential.
Experience in the use of AutoCAD
Car driver is essential due to the extensive area of the Estate covered. There is an expectation that this post may travel anywhere within the Trust wide boundary.
