Excellent attention to detail and the highest levels of accuracy are required as you will be involved in the final stages of tool approval to achieve schedule deadlines.

Polishing to a very high level of detail and accuracy and remaining focussed whilst working through a long list of intricate polishing requirements is not easy and doing this consistently to a very busy schedule can be tough. Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) is nationally recognised as having an established Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) service, with ACPs embedded across 18 specialties. We are now seeking committed, enthusiastic and compassionate trainee ACP to undertake the three year apprenticeship at the University of Nottingham and join our established Stroke ACP team.

The Stroke department is led by a group of senior Stroke Consultants, and delivers secondary and tertiary care. Our team of experienced Stroke ACPs provide cover and leadership to the TIA clinic and Stroke Same Day Emergency Care Unit. The SDEC Unit was set up and is primarily staffed by ACPs providing rapid assessment of patients alongside an experienced nursing team. We also offer an in-reach service to ED to provide autonomous early intervention to patients who present at the QMC campus. Our goal is to provide the best possible care in this busy and thriving department. The ACP can expect to encounter conditions ischaemic stroke, haemorrhagic stroke, transient ischaemic attacks and stroke mimics.

We also provide support to the hyper-acute stroke unit, acute stroke unit and lead the stroke rehabilitation ward.

The post holders will be based at Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust, at both QMC and City Hospital sites.

The successful candidate will undertake training to develop specialist knowledge and skills to provide healthcare autonomously to patients in their area. The Role In this role, you will provide Low Intensity CBT-based interventions whilst undertaking the (Post) Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions (PGCert LIPI) delivered by the University of Birmingham commencing 30th September 2024. This training post will equip you with the skills and knowledge to provide evidence-based treatment to clients with a range of common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. You will be joining a motivated team of mental health professionals and experienced supervisors who will support you to complete both your academic study and your clinical delivery. The programme of learning is delivered jointly between Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) and the University of Birmingham. If successful the post holder will be required to attend a minimum of 1 day teaching, undertake 1 day of self-directed study and provide 3 days of clinical practice per week. Whilst your clinical practice is likely to include some remote working, you will be required to attend one of the Nottingham offices for part of the week. You must be able to attend the University of Birmingham in person for your learning.
