The post holder will be required to work for long periods in the day in a restricted position whilst carrying out data inputting and, Help Desk activities. The post holder will have successfully completed the 2-year Trainee Nursing Associate training programme, which includes the attainment of a level 5 Foundation Degree equivalent qualification and NMC registration. The Trainee Nurse specialist and Sonographer will be involved in the delivery of Early Pregnancy ultrasound imaging services within the Gynaecology Division.

The Post Holder will work under clinical supervision of the Nurse specialist Sonographers in delivering all aspects of Early Pregnancy ultrasound procedures whilst undertaking academic training at University.

This is a Trainee post and once qualified, subject to satisfactory competency assessments will be uplifted to Qualified Band 7 role.

The post-holder will deliver and contribute to the development of nurse led early pregnancy clinics, working as an autonomous practitioner, and delivering high quality, expert nursing care. Excellent communication skills are essential due to the need to deliver highly sensitive and upsetting information to both patients and relatives.
