More detail about the role An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and well-motivated candidate to join our friendly Mortuary Services team as a trainee Anatomical Pathology Technician. Applications are welcome from compassionate, conscientious individuals with good administration, communication and technical skills. Based at the Royal Devon and Exeter (Wonford) site, the role is diverse and the post-holder will be responsible for providing support and practical advice to the bereaved, assisting with post mortem examinations, reconstruction of the deceased and supporting the corneal retrieval scheme by performing enucleations. Other duties include being involved in a full range of Mortuary and Bereavement service roles such as admitting and releasing of patients to funeral services, administrative duties and maintaining the cleanliness of the department. The right candidate will strive to deliver the highest level of service to the bereaved and associated service users. The role at times can be emotionally and mentally demanding. It requires meticulous attention to detail, high-levels of concentration, moderate physical strength and a positive attitude. Due to the nature of the work successful applicants will be required to undertake a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure Check/Enhanced Disclosure Check. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided, however previous related work experience would be advantageous. Participation in the departments on call rota is a requirement of the role, and a full-driving licence is required. Candidates shortlisted for interview will be required to visit the department for an informal tour, practical assessment and to meet the team. The successful candidate will be enrolled onto the Level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology after 1 year of employment subject to competency review. The Role: We have several opportunities to recruit enthusiastic and committed Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (Trainee PWPs) to join our expanding NHS Talking Therapies service operating across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. About the role

More detail about the role: The community based Orthopaedic Interface service for the RDUH covers a wide geographical area. Your primary role will be in providing in depth assessment, diagnostic and management advice to patients presenting with hip/knee problems. Key accountabilities: 1. To study towards and achieve a postgraduate qualification in Non-Medical Prescribing followed by a three month preceptorship in order to fulfil all other key accountabilities set out below. 2. Prescribe cost effectively and according to best practice and provide prescribing information and advice to Pharmacists, Shared Care GPs and hospital staff. 4. Undertake Service User centred assessments, care planning, monitoring, evaluation and reviews in practice and outreach settings. 5. Blood Borne Virus (BBV) management (risk assessment, pre and post-test counselling, testing and immunisation). 6. Deliver health promotion and harm reduction interventions in a client-centred manner (e.g. safer sex, contraception, nutrition and healthy living). 7. Promote and deliver immunisation against Hepatitis B in line with national guidance. 8. Contribute to the maintenance of client clinical database; co-ordinate data entry and retrieval searches and reports to meet the internal and external service requirements as appropriate and ensuring data security at all times. 9. Liaise with pharmacists regarding supervised dispensing and prescription queries. 10. Share care with GPs for Service Users in Primary Care Extended Services (PCES)/Primary Care Recovery Services (PCRS). 11. Deliver clinical interventions across hubs in different locations and deliver outreach as required. 12. Undertake continuing professional development including participating in clinical supervision, performance appraisals and attending training as/when required. 13. Work in accordance with all relevant legislation, best practice policies & procedures and guidelines both internal and external. This includes Humankinds clinical governance policy framework. 14. Participate in the audit process and promote service wide or local clinical audit Implement findings/changes where indicated. 15. Ensure all serious incidents (including deaths in service) are reported, implementing any service changes arising. 16. Disseminate learning across the service and the organisation as appropriate. 17. Provide support and assistance to other Humankind substance misuse services during mobilisation 18. Collaborate on clinical governance, review and implementation of policies and guidelines. 19.
