Operational & Support Services. To provide an effective contribution to the Depot Make Ready Team function by ensuring that: Vehicles and equipment are clean and ready to meet the stated daily operational requirement with emphasis on The mechanical condition of the vehicle and its roadworthiness. Applications are invited from Specialist Biomedical Scientists or candidates working towards being a Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Trainee), who are interested in joining our excellent team in the Cellular Pathology Department. The Histology laboratories are based at University Hospital in Coventry and at South Warwick and provide a diagnostic pathology service for the Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Services (CWPS) and handle over 300,00 slides per year. These 2 posts will have a designated base at either of our 2 sites, Coventry or Warwick (1 vacancy at each) your preference can be discussed at interview.

The successful candidate will be HCPC registered and hold the IBMS specialist portfolio in Cellular Pathology or will be working to complete the Specialist Portfolio (Trainee). You will be expected to undertake routine and specialist histopathology including immunohistochemistry, special stains, laboratory QC, Molecular Histology (at UHCW only) and some dissection (transfers and opening up), and will possess knowledge and skill levels enabling you to work both independently; supervising other lab staff as appropriate; and under the supervision of senior biomedical scientists to maintain a cross-site histology service.

The qualification required for a Specialist Biomedical Scientist post is the IBMS Specialist Diploma or equivalent predecessor qualification to this (such as CPSM logbook).

Applicants who do not meet these criteria but are HCPC registered and in a Biomedical Scientist post, are encouraged to apply and may be considered if there are insufficient candidates to appoint to a band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist post. In these circumstances, successful applicants will be appointed as a Trainee Specialist Biomedical Scientist and paid according to the AFC band 5 salary scale. Trainee specialist Biomedical Scientists will be expected to complete the IBMS specialist diploma within 2 years of appointment whilst gaining specialist knowledge and experience within the discipline. A learning contract will be put in place to manage this process and upon completion of this qualification, the trainee will move into a band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist post

You will participate fully in the laboratory shift system; which currently comprises working 37.5 hours between 7am to 7pm and includes weekend working on a rotational basis. This is a full time position.

A exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to contribute towards the provision of excellent patient care within the endocrine service. We are looking to appoint a PCOS Clinical Nurse Specialist Nurse to join the Endocrine team at UHCW.

The post holder will play a key role in developing the PCOS service and you will be expected to perform autonomously to carry out tests, specialist screening, treatments, procedures, clinics, develop audit tools and clinical protocols, participate in audit and research activites as well as develop patient/ staff education programs.

· To provide direct, specialised care and advice to patients within a defined caseload, using specialist nursing skills and ensuring that care and support to patients and families is sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy.

· Provide Nurse led clinical activity to support the PCOS service across the Trust. This will include running nurse led day case Clinic. Telephone advice and general support.

· Meet with the patient and, when wished, their family at key stages in their pathway to provide individualised written and verbal information and support that will help them to prepare for treatment and its outcome at key points in their pathway.

· To act as a patients’ advocate and to give advice regarding treatment options in order that patients are able to give informed consent.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities of a Trainee Mobile Crane Operator

- Work to manufacturer's instructions at all times.

- Adhere to road traffic regulations.

- Ensure PPE is worn at all appropriate times

- Conversant with the correct use of outriggers and aware they should be used on level ground.

- Set and check the functioning of the rated capacity limiter and rated capacity indicator.

- Perform the correct use of manual handling i.e. Outrigger Pans.

- Liaise with Site Manager/Project Manager upon arrival on site.

- Be able to resist pressures from other persons to carry out unsafe operations.

- Able to assimilate and apply information contained in reports and duty charts relating to the range of duties and safe use of the crane.

- Be aware of the effects of wind and other climatic effects on the crane and load.

- Able to take the action to avoid dangerous situations, including stopping operations.

- Operate fire suppressant equipment, if fitted.

- Access and depart the crane by safe use of ladders and grab rails.

An exciting opportunity to be part of UHCW's Integrated Musculoskeletal Service has become available. This role will give the successful candidate the chance to work across the MSK pathway, including the MSK assessment and triage, First Contact Practitioner (FCP), and Physiotherapy Outpatient Services.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to take a lead role within their own specialist field/area of clinical interest. This may include developing expertise and advanced practice skills, for example within upper limb, lower limb, spinal or persistent MSK pain

This Role is listed as a Band 8a role, but for the right candidate we would consider the opportunity to work as a Trainee Band 7-8a, where candidates would be supported to develop their skills towards Advanced Practice by demonstrating this through a portfolio which follows the capabilities and competencies detailed for Advanced Practice. We have exciting opportunities for Registered Professionals who have 12 months + experience within Acute or Community setting of supporting Age Independent Adults with mental illness. The Urgent Care Access hub and Home Treatment Team in Coventry is an Age independent service, One team with two functions, We operate a 24 hours service and the shift patterns are 11.5 hours. This fast paced, dynamic environment requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to make decisions under pressure and provide high quality care to people with mental health illnesses and social inequalities in their own homes. You will also be expected to Triage Urgent referrals which include Safeguarding and make decisions about care and treatment in a responsive manner, signposting to 3rdsector services and referring into secondary care services if needed. Giving current NICE guideline advice around self-help and treatment options via telephone triage. You will be supported by a senior leadership team of experienced nurses and an MDT of colleagues who are passionate about treating patients in their own homes in order to avoid hospital admission. We are based within the Caludon Centre and cover the city of Coventry. Car driver preferred but not essential.

We are looking for registered professionals who are compassionate, motivated and approachable. In return you will be working within a supportive team with strong commitment to excellent customer care, and be presented with the opportunity to enhance your professional development.

As the successful candidate you must have a professional qualification i.e., nursing, social worker, with substantial post registration experience as a qualified professional of which you will have recent experience working with clients within a secondary care mental health setting.
