In return, we offer you a thorough training in CBT based at the University of Reading (UoR), clinical experience through Bucks Talking Therapies, and a supportive supervisor team, at both University and on placement, throughout your training. The training programme is scheduled to start late February 2025 and ideally people will start work with the service in early February to complete induction and other duties. The course you will be completing at the University of Reading as part of this role is a Level 2 accredited course with BABCP. This means that upon completion trainees will meet criteria to apply for accreditation as a CBT therapist with the BABCP. Job Purpose
The Graduate Surveyor is a person of unquestionable integrity and professionalism, combined with high
levels of emotional intelligence and discretion.
Graduates will be given support and training in developing their essential business, sales and personal skills
to successfully operate as a Rural Surveyor. Graduates will complete a training programme and gain
practical experience with the Firm’s specialist surveyors.
With study leave and regular reviews, the aim is to progress towards Assessment of Professional
Competence to become MRICS qualified - bringing the chance of career progression towards senior
management and partnership.
Working as part of the team, taking on a workload of existing clients (initially under supervision) and
undertaking business generation activities are key areas of responsibility for graduate trainees.
Particulars of Work
 Hours of work will be 09.00 to 17.30 Monday to Friday, with one hour for lunch; a total of 37.5 hours
per week.
 Holiday entitlement includes 28 days per calendar year which excludes bank holidays and public
holidays.
 The primary place of work will be Prestwood, Great Missenden with occasional working elsewhere
however Briggs and Stone reserve the right to alter and add locations as appropriate
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Professional Work
 Obtaining professional experience and assisting with specific jobs such as: valuations, diversification
projects, business plans, compulsory purchase & utility schemes, landlord and tenant matters,
farmland investment and development schemes.
 Assist in general Estate and farm management e.g. preparation of tenancy agreements, day to day
estate matters or problems, inspections, analysing and processing data.
 Property management and maintenance: finding and supervising tenants, putting tenancy
agreements in place, undertaking rent reviews, preparation of schedules of condition, seeking
quotations for work and monitoring

 Preparation of maps, drawings and charts, as required
 Providing support and assistance to senior surveyors throughout their duties. Paying close attention
to instructions and maintaining accurate records.
 Creating and updating reports, inputting agreements, carrying out rent reviews, managing tenants'
rents, dealing with arrears in a timely manner.
Claims Management
 Preparing and submitting claim, grant, subsidy forms
Business Generation
 Support existing clients and help develop business generation skills to support business generation
activities and initiatives.
 Gain a good general understanding of all services offered
Assessment of Professional Competence
 Report regularly to your APC Counsellor and draw attention to any shortfalls in skills, development or
time allocated to particular work
 Maintain the APC diary and undertake all necessary work in connection with the APC timetable and
requirements.
 Develop technical and professional skills towards and beyond APC success.
File Management
 Setting up new files and retrieving back files from archive
 Ensuring that all new matters have signed Terms of Engagement on file
 Filing paper and electronically on all project matters
 Ensuring accurate filing systems and clean CRM system is maintained for all clients and matters
 Recording chargeable and non-chargeable time regularly and in a timely fashion

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to expand their existing team with the addition of a highly motivated and career-minded individual to train in life safety systems engineering, based from home.

You will have the opportunity to travel around the UK developing your technical and process skills with training on a wide range of life safety systems and equipment types installed within blue-chip customer sites.

You will have 12 weeks of ‘on-the-job’ training, where you will learn more basic technical and statutory requirements in servicing, repair, installation, commissioning, and project engineering life safety systems, including fire alarms, voice alarms, fire extinguishers, and refuge & call systems.

Predominantly Lancs, Manchester, Liverpool, and surrounding areas., though some training & work may require further UK travel, including occasional working away from home, this would be communicated and agreed upon in advance. All travel, hotel & subsistence costs are met by the company

What you will need: -Trainee Life Safety Systems Electrical Engineer

· A technical mind with the desire and drive to progress within the fire industry

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team

· Full driving licence you can use in the UK, with no more than 3 penalty points

A supplementary industry-recognised external training package will also be provided and tailored to the individual needs of the successful candidate, based on their previous experience, qualifications, and skills.

Full-time 37.5 hours Monday to Friday, although regular overtime and weekend opportunities are available.

Ideally, you will hold GCSE grade C (or equivalent) or above in Maths, English, and any technically related subject, City & Guilds 231 Electrical Parts 1&2 / IEEE 17th / 19th Edition / ONC is Electronic engineering or equivalent would be a great advantage but not essential

Oversee routine ward work by the foundation doctors. Assessment of emergency admissions; discussed with the on call registrar or consultant. Assisting and operating in theatre. (Local anaesthetics and general anaesthetic lists). Emergency and elective out-patient clinics. Teaching Tuesday a.m. dedicated teaching time with juniors and consultants being actively involved. Teaching presentations on various topics of importance in plastic surgery, and discussions of the latest scientific research covering all aspects of plastic surgery. There is a monthly hospital audit. Monthly Morbidity and Mortality meeting. Monthly Histopathology meeting with consultant Histopathologist. There are teaching ward rounds. There are excellent postgraduate facilities at the hospital with a first class library. In addition, the plastic surgery unit has its own library. The specialist trainees can attend British Association of Plastic Surgeon meetings, advanced courses and Regional meetings if workload permits.
