The Programme Lead for the Starting Fresh initiative will collaborate with business clients and external partners to develop and manage the sourcing and pipelining of candidates, aligning with recruitment needs. This role is crucial in ensuring that ex-offenders are given the opportunity to rebuild their lives through gainful employment.
Package Description - Starting Fresh Programme Lead
- £25,000 - £27,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits
- Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5pm)
- 12 Month Fixed Term Contract - Maternity Cover
- Working from home with regular travel required
Main Responsibilities - Collaboration and Partnership:
- Partner with internal teams to understand and address current and upcoming recruitment needs across all business segments.
- Engage with internal and external prison services to pool and pipeline workforce candidates.
- Collaborate with relevant external parties to extend the reach of our potential workforce and align with social value metrics and goals.
- Research and Development:
- Conduct external research to enhance the development and delivery of the Starting Fresh initiative.
- Support the expansion of the programme by driving workforce recruitment from prisons into our vacancies.
- Stakeholder Management and Reporting:
- Provide excellent stakeholder management to ensure a responsive and affirming service.
- Report on all specified KPIs and metrics to track the success and impact of the initiative.
Challenges and Key Issues:
- Understanding the recruitment needs and specifics of the ROTL (Release on Temporary License) terms and prison specifications.
- Navigating the vetting requirements for roles across different segments of the business.
- Navigating valuable and impactful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Key Metrics:
- 5% of viable roles being filled within this demographic
- Supporting external businesses to employ this demographic
The Ideal Candidate - Strong understanding of recruitment processes, policies, and procedures.
- Commitment to providing a helpful, friendly, and responsive service.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Professional conduct with a respectful approach to confidentiality.
- Proficient IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel to different sites as needed.
