The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects.  This opportunity within our Manufacturing Division will provide you with hands-on experience in both project and change management, as well as cross-functional collaboration.

The Manufacturing Strategy, Business Development and Alliances (MSBDA) group is responsible for the development and realization of the strategy for the Manufacturing division and oversees the core enterprise manufacturing functions. The MSBDA intern will support project management and business realization initiatives led by the MSBDA organization. This individual must be a quick learner with the ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role requires strong problem-solving capabilities, the ability to synthesize complex data into concise, actionable measures, and the ability to make rapid, sound decisions. The candidate must also demonstrate strong partnership and communication skills to enable interfacing with stakeholders.

The MSBDA intern will complete one or more projects over a 10 to 12-week period beginning late May or early June 2024. This experience will provide you with the opportunity to develop your business acumen, as well as provide you with insight into pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Required Education & Skills:

• Candidates must currently be enrolled in a minimum of a BS/BA in: Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Life Sciences, or related disciplines.

Key Accountabilities:

SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will be doing job tasks relating to foundry engineering.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist manufacturing engineering with defect analysis and resolutions to improve first time yield
• Audit with molding and pouring operations to verify process is being followed and acquire useful data
• Assist manufacturing engineering team with solidification modeling, and gating/risering design, and problem resolutions on day-to-day activities and issues
• Use problem solving approaches and techniques, cause and effects, 5 why’s, 8d’s, and other analysis tools
• Perform spectrometric testing of iron samples, micrography of iron chills, involvement in sand testing and iron tensile testing, and data analysis of test results

Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative and task-based support to the wider Accounts Payable team. The position is responsible for performing tasks such as pending invoice resolution, e-invoicing exceptions, payment monitoring, vendor support, monthly accruals, and more. GENERAL OVERVIEW:

The Internal Staffing Team Registered Nurse assesses human responses and plans, implements and evaluates nursing care for individuals or families for whom the nurse is responsible. The Internal Staffing Team Registered Nurse is fully responsible for all actions as a licensed nurse and is accountable to patients for the quality of care delivered.

The AHN Internal Staffing Team (IST), is an Inpatient travel team. AHN IST employees will rotate to all AHN hospitals in Pennsylvania, including Allegheny General Hospital, Allegheny Valley Hospital, Canonsburg Hospital, Forbes Hospital, Jefferson Hospital, West Penn Hospital and Wexford Hospital in the Pittsburgh metro area and AHN Grove City and St. Vincent Hospital in Northwestern PA.

The Inpatient Team includes Registered Nurses that will work on one of the following 3 clinical teams in one of the three specific clinical teams, including:

• Critical Care

• Telemetry/Med Surg

• Emergency Medicine

Additionally, members of the Inpatient IST will be paid a premium rate, as well as a sign-on bonus if eligible.

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

This job has the goal of providing the opportunity to acquire practical experience through direct exposure to the related business line(s) and to develop the next generation of diverse business professionals.  To that end, the program will provide hands-on training and experience in the business line, expose the various career opportunities in the business line and related areas, and prepare participants for positions in the business.

Typical responsibilities include, providing services to the day-to-day operating objectives of the assigned area, participating in projects and programs appropriate to the needs of the assigned area, participating in the planning and implementation of projects and initiatives, conducting research and reporting including recommendations or proposals for action.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
