We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our friendly team in Ty Coch Nursing Home, Cardiff.

Our purpose-built, modern home is situated in the Cardiff suburb of Llanishen. We provide the highest possible standards in: Dementia, Palliative, and general nursing care to over 50 residents. All in comfortable, En Suite bedrooms spread over our three communities.

This role is 0 hours per week - excellent for anyone who wants extra hours around other commitments or needs flexibility in their working pattern. The role aims to cover holiday and sickness leave, as well as supporting the home at particularly busy times.

The main duties of this role include:

- You will work alongside our highly trained staff team of Care Assistants, Senior Care Assistants and Nursing team to support approximately 15 residents each night within a specially assigned 'community'.

- Focusing on our residents often complex needs will allow you to build on your experience of working in Nursing and EMI care.

- You will take responsibility as a 'named nurse', giving you the opportunity not only to build excellent professional relationships, but also to ensure the care you give always respects the personal wishes and circumstances of each individual.

What we need from you:

- Experience in working with residents - this role is based within a nursing home setting so experience of working with the residents is essential

- Ability to show empathy, understanding and experience in a care setting. You will be expected to work closely with our residents and be able to identify their specific needs.

- Well-developed time management skills with the ability to work under pressure - to ensure the smooth running of the home's routine.

- Ability to make balanced, clear, and timely decisions to ensure the best decisions and outcomes are met for our residents, by taking a pro-active approach in consulting and involving others in decision making.

- Takes a pro-active approach to consulting and involving others in decision making process as appropriate.

- Registered Nurse and relevant qualifications.

• You will serve as a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Integrated Product Support (IPS) Program Manager for Program Support Inventory Control Point (PSICP) life cycle management for assigned countries, weapon systems, equipment, and platforms.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Reviews the insurance master record and/or paper file, determines entitlement and invites claims to beneficiaries. Performs preliminary development work, identifying complicated legal or regulatory issues requiring referral to higher graded employees.
• Authorizes payment of claims where the issues area clear and uncomplicated. Releases account status to claimants involving lapsed policies after extensive review and audit of records. Determines where administrative adjustment may save lapsed insurance policies; refers them to higher-graded employees.
• Performs stop actions, account adjustments and initiates recovery of payments, when advised of the death of a payee who was receiving monthly insurance amounts.
• Conducts quality assurance to ensure clarity and legibility of all scanned documents.
• Receives/manages incoming transfer of funds from Treasury as well as ensure all returned/cancelled monthly payments are properly dated and otherwise accounted for.
• Award maintenance of Direct Deposit and address change updates in ADE and ITS to resume payments of monthly awards.
• Traces missing payments or overpayment's when appropriate using Pacer system and sends replacement payments in accordance with current practices.
• Analyzes incoming insurance award related correspondence with available records and responds with requested information on account status, to include amount of monthly payment.
• Processes address changes for insureds receiving insurance disability benefits or in conjunction with submitted beneficiary designations.
• RPO processing to develop return checks if individual is deceased, frozen accounts (i.e., address confirmation/banking information letters).
• Batches and stores scanned work in date and time sequence for expedient retrieval.
• Analyzes all incoming Beneficiary Designation Forms and correspondence as well as makes determination as to the acceptability of the designation based on Insurance regulations and processes form.
• Responsible for determining proper classification of input to the proper category via the optical imaging system and verifies work is inputted into appropriate profile so that the correct tasks have been generated in the paperless environment.
• Creates an electronic file in the computer system which links with the Insurance system to generate tasks for the paperless office as well as processes work flow tasks that are generated through VICTARS and monitors for any backlogs, failures in indexing or batch processing which would impact VICTARS processing.
• Distributes daily reports and sets up the daily RH application materials as well as generates reports based on scanning data collected daily, weekly, monthly and yearly

• Reviews Congressional, White House, Secretary and other special inquires received by letter and telephone in order to determine the proper disposition of these inquiries. Responsible for providing timely responses to Congressional, White House and other special inquiries concerning VA benefits for veterans and other claimants.
• Discusses problem cases and insurance benefits with congressional aides and other callers referred by the Office of Director, Deputy Assistant Director for Insurance or other Insurance program officials and VIPS Insurance Specialists.
• Prepares responses to inquiries from the public, other agency staff, government organizations and veterans interests groups on various aspects of insurance programs. Responsible for the research and development of information into missing government checks initiated by the Department of Veterans Affairs Insurance program regarding inquiries to the Treasury Department. He/She will initiate status of the check through the system, determine the status of funds available, and refund the available funds. If funds are determined to be unavailable, the incumbent will determine whether fraudulent activity or an incorrect payee was involved. This will be done through research, contacts, and interaction with the Veteran and the Check Claims Department of the Treasury. If an incorrect payee is involved, the incumbent will initiate recovery of funds.
• Monitors and reports any situations determined to be fraud by the Department of the Treasury.
• The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the Section's quality and timeliness of service meets performance indicator goals. The incumbent is also responsible for the cost-effective use of resources to accomplish the Section's assigned outcomes

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:

• Monitor and receive large volume of official mail involving a variety of items and stressing the importance of the cost control program.
• Open, perforate, date stamp and read as necessary to determine routing by subject matter.
• Distribute mail to individually marked boxes in the distribution.
• Maintain and replenish the inventory of postage office supplies.

• Coordinate with Logistics Management Specialists and other members of a project team to schedule work orders and communicate daily and weekly schedule requirements from the master scheduler to the shop supervisor.
• Provide production shops with monthly requirements, ensure the schedule is reflective of shops capacity, skill and current manpower, and communicate off schedule conditions and downtime problems that may affect the ability to meet the schedule.
• Monitor compliance of the schedules and identify schedule discrepancies so decisions can be made on any off-schedule conditions.
• Maintain inventory of stored assets, and ensure assets are available to deliver to prime work center in accordance with appropriate directives.

• You will serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for sustainment efforts in support of the AUKUS (Australia/United Kingdom/United States) program.
• You will coordinate with stakeholders to clearly define requirements, scope, and final delivery of products.
• You will participate in all phases of Integrated Support Planning (IPS) throughout the life cycle of the weapons systems under the AUKUS program.
• You will interpret, execute, and disseminate Navy and DOD policies, internal guidance, and all associated procedures and documentation related to AUKUS sustainment program management.
• You will provide sparing recommendations and models, participate in supply support meetings, provide input on material support issues, material/equipment requisitioning, and sustainment calculations and support.
• You will provide frequent status updates and issue briefs to senior leadership and high-level officials.

• Assists in gathering and assembling preliminary data for all resource concerns for use in developing complete basic farm conservation plans.
• Understands all applicable NRCS and Farm Bill programs available to address resource concerns and explains cost share programs and payment procedures to applicants and contract holders.

• Assist engineers with weapon systems overhaul processes by applying advanced concepts such as RF (Radio Frequency) communication, Fiber Optic, Microwave, Physical Optic and Laser safety.
• Develop schematics to support design, installation, and troubleshooting of complex electronic systems.
• Apply expert knowledge in test station software for test development and adapter design to support testing of complex electronic systems.
• Compute critical power requirements, such as amps, volts, ohms and resistance, for designs and equipment to ensure proper electrical functionality.
• Troubleshoot complex electronic systems via the use of electronic tooling, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency synthesizers and network analyzers.
• Develop electronic manufacturing fixtures to facilitate production while adhering to technical standards.

• Serves as the Troop Support Medical Supplier Operations Directorate designated POC for the DoD Value Management Program.
• Implements and issues policies and procedures for application of Value Management principles to all directorate programs and initiatives.
• Conducts and recommends training courses, seminars, and orientation presentations and disseminates documentation to achieve Directorate-wide understanding of the Value Management Program.
• Conducts complex reviews and analysis and determines the best course of action for resolving difficult Value Engineering issues within the directorate.
• Provides consulting services while maintaining working relationships with customer agencies, contractor facilities, DoD, DLA, Troop Support, and other government agencies.
• Participates in program meetings and discussions related to program issues and recommends appropriate corrective action.
