Multi Skilled Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team at a busy parcel delivery company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of conveyor belts and sortation controls to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our distribution centre.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct regular inspections of conveyor belts and sortation controls to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
• Respond to breakdowns and troubleshoot technical problems with conveyor belts and sortation controls, including identifying faulty components, replacing parts, and resetting systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on conveyor belts and sortation controls, including lubrication, cleaning, and calibration.
• Work with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures and protocols.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in the maintenance of conveyor belts and sortation controls, and provide recommendations to management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean working environment.

What you need to show us

• Proven experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent knowledge of conveyor belt and sortation control systems, including electrical, mechanical and pneumatic components.
• Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical problems quickly and effectively.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

As anBand 6 Occupational Therapist, you will assess, plan, and implement interventions for patients with acquired neurological conditions across areas such as neurorehabilitation, neurobehavioral management, and complex care.

You will be responsible for:

- Create and implement personalised care plans and evidence-based therapy interventions.

- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required.

- Educate and assist patients and families with adaptive techniques to promote independence.

- Manage a caseload independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including community professionals and equipment providers.

- Maintain accurate documentation in line with HCPC and RCOT standards.

- Report to the Clinical Lead for Physiotherapy and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centred care.

What we're looking for:

- Previously worked as an Occupational Therapist or in a similar role.

- At least 2 years' experience in neurology, specialist rehabilitation, or complex care settings.

- Understanding of relevant legislation and standards of professional practice.

- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy (or equivalent) with RCOT and HCPC registration.

- Hold a HCPC certification.

- Skilled in using assessment tools and delivering outcome-based therapy.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
