Co-ordinate the production of training and guidance notes that support Standard Operating Procedures and the completion of the IBMS Certificate of Competence Portfolio. Technical Service In collaboration with the Training Officer, develops, maintains and organises the IQA programme for the General Bacteriology & Virology departments including: Preparing spot tests Capturing data, collating and analysing results Recording and investigating non-conformances including root cause analysis Identifying training needs and liaising with the Training Officer Monitoring and recording performance and trend analyses Preparing monthly reports and communicating results at staff meetings. To have an active understanding of the physiology of oncology disorders. To have an understanding of test results, and to be able to ensure that appropriate results can be explained to the family. Plan, organise and monitor the management of care for children and young people with oncology disorders who are inpatients ensuring effective discharge planning. To be responsible for effective communication between tertiary, secondary, primary care and the family. Plan, organise and monitor a seamless transition of care for adolescent patients with CYP oncology disorders and their families to the adult team or GP ensuring full preparation for the young person. To ensure accuracy of documentation and maintain an efficient and accurate record system with relevant information in agreement. To ensure safe storage of measurements or quality of life information and retrieve data such as trend plotting of these results. Access and utilise patient information through the PAS and ESR. Leadership and Management In conjunction with the other multidisciplinary colleagues, contribute monthly/quarterly reports of case mix, workload and education activity which will be presented at Directorate meetings. Take an integral part in regional and national oncology related working groups. To participate in the presentation and publication of relevant research and best practice initiatives. To be actively involved with conferences & meetings, developing presenting skills in the regional and national setting. To represent the Trust nationally. To network with other CYP Clinical Nurse Specialists throughout the UK, joining appropriate organisations in order to collaborate, share and benchmark practices and initiatives To obtain, evaluate and disseminate information to facilitate best practice for the CYP and their families. Our Public Sector client based in Worcester is looking for a strong contracts support administrator to work alongside the Senior Team on various internal projects to support their Contracts Management Team. This is a temporary role, Monday to Friday 37.00 hours per week, paying £14.22 per hour. This role will follow a hybrid working pattern, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

You will be required to provide specific project administrative support for the Team. The main role responsibilities are listed below, together with any other ad hoc administration duties as required:

Key Duties: 1. Responsible for receipt of reports from referral laboratories and input of results to the LIMS. This may include direct data entry or scanning and attachment of text reports. 2. To bring to the attention of senior Biomedical Scientists any difficulties experienced in obtaining an appropriate response from the referral laboratory. 7. Responsible for loading of samples on analysers, loading of consumables, analyser daily/weekly maintenance and running of IQC samples. Validation of IQC results is only permitted by HCPC registered Band 5 & above BMS. 8. To perform simple laboratory tests under supervision of HCPC registered staff. 9. To train and instruct other members of staff, of any grade, in all aspects of the role within the dimensions of this post. 10. Supervises and receives stock delivered to the department ensuring storage is in accordance with departmental procedures & that acceptance documentation is completed.
